You can travel the world inside of EPCOT’s World Showcase.

While you can visit 11 different country’s pavilions inside of the World Showcase, you can also soar around the world in EPCOT as well! Located inside of the Land Pavilion, you will find three attractions. One movie, Awesome Planet. A boat ride, Living with the Land. And a simulator ride, Soarin’ Around the World. This ride takes you to new heights as you travel to different popular monuments and landmarks around the globe.
While this ride is super popular, and can often have wait times of over an hour, there are also times where Soarin’ can have very low wait times. We go to Disney World every day and since we go so often, we notice ride trends. If you want to ride Soarin’ Around the World the next time you visit EPCOT, these are the best times to ride the attraction.

We will say that wait times and crowds do fluctuate depending on the time of year so these tips may not always work out, but in most cases, we have found that these two times are the best time to get on Soarin’ with little to no wait.

At Rope Drop
Rope Dropping is a Disney term where you get to the park before the park is officially open. There are physical ropes that block off parts of the park. Once the park is open, a rope literally drops, allowing visitors to enter the park.
While Rope Dropping does require you to wake up early, there are a lot of benefits to rope dropping as you can get in a few rides with little to no wait as you are one of the first people to enter the park.

During Rope Drop at EPCOT, many people make it a goal to ride popular attractions like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After as these rides boast high wait times throughout the day.

Soarin’ Around the World is not the most popular attraction to Rope Drop, which means in the early opening hours, Soarin’ Around the World has short wait times. With Test Track closed, more people may head to Soarin’ but in our experience, you can get on Soarin’ during Rope Drop very fast.

Before Park Close
Soarin’ is a pretty reliable ride and hardly has any downtime, meaning that the attraction runs well into the evening hours. At night, many people are out trying to find a spot to watch Luminous: The Symphony of Us, meaning that wait times for rides further from the World Showcase tend to drop.

If you time it right, you may be able to catch a ride on Soarin’ and still be able to see Luminous as the show starts as soon as EPCOT closes.

It seems that many people choose to ride Soarin’ around mid-day when it is the hottest out. The Land Pavilion offers great AC and is a good place to take a mid-day break. While we do not recommend riding Soarin’ in the middle of the day, if you find yourself trying to ride it mid-day, don’t panic!

If the wait time is too high, you could grab a snack at Sunshine Seasons or enjoy Awesome Planet or Living with the Land as you wait for the wait time to drop.

While Soarin’ may not be EPCOT’s most popular attraction, it still can have a long wait so if you can follow our recommendation to ride right at rope drop or at night to beat the crowds.
