We don’t know about you, but we’re so excited for the latest installment of EPCOT’s Transformation.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana opens soon in EPCOT, and while we’ve already gotten a peek at what we can expect from the new attraction, Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club previews start TODAY (September 24th). However, there’s a special process being used to enter the attraction at this time.
Early in the morning on September 24th, guests who were able to attend the Journey of Water preview were directed to a standby line. Disney noted that a virtual queue will be used “as needed,” and that time came pretty quickly. By 10AM, Annual Passholders and DVC Members were prompted to join a Virtual Queue to enter Journey of Water. When we passed by, the line to join the virtual queue was WILDLY long.

The line started at The Land Pavilion and ended way over by the EPCOT park entrance, and this was just to join the virtual queue. However, you do NOT have to wait in this line to join the queue! Head over to the “Virtual Queues” section on your My Disney Experience app and join the virtual queue from there — it’s the same thing, and you can avoid that long line.

There is a separate line to wait in when you’re redeeming your virtual queue spot, and that line was much shorter when we passed by. So when your virtual queue group is called, make sure you’re headed to the right line — you can ask nearby Cast Members to help you find the right place.

The attraction officially opens to the public on October 16th, and we suspect a virtual queue system will also be in effect at that time, so be prepared to get that virtual queue spot at 7AM in case they sell out. We’ll be sure to bring you more details as soon as we know them, so stay tuned to AllEars!
