“Make the Park Make Sense Again!” — Disney Fans Are BEGGING for These Changes in Hollywood Studios

Alright Disney World, we have some suggestions.

Entrance to Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to some INCREDIBLY popular attractions such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror — so it’s safe to say the theme park is frequently visited. Many of YOU have spent hours upon hours exploring the part, so when we asked you what you’d change, you did not hold back.

We asked our readers what you’d change about Hollywood Studios and, honestly, ya’ll gave quite a few suggestions.

What changes are you BEGGING for in Disney's Hollywood Studios?

The most popular response was begging for shade in Toy Story Land, which is honestly a major complaint on our end as well.

Toy Story Land

This Hollywood Studios land is super open and it can make for some really uncomfortable days when it’s especially hot out.

One of our reporters added, “Doesn’t Andy have a single tree in his backyard?” That’s a valid question.

We also saw suggestions of what Disney could do with Galaxy’s Edge.

Disneyland has little droids as well as some exclusive characters you won’t find at Florida’s Batuu. Hollywood Studios would benefit from bringing more characters to Galaxy’s Edge to help liven it up a bit.

Then there’s Star Wars Launch Bay, which fans are ready to see be repurposed or go entirely to make room for literally anything else.

Speaking of getting rid of attractions, readers had plenty of thoughts.

Reader Kevin wrote, “How is Star Tours still around? That is a lame ride.” Bold take!

Reader Bob added, “I believe that the stunt spectacular has run its course. Time for Indy to call DAK [Disney’s Animal Kingdom] his new home.” This actually makes a ton of sense, as Indiana Jones is getting his own original ride in Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas expansion.

The new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom lets guests explore a preserved Maya temple – and the ensuing adventure – alongside Indiana Jones.

We also saw pleading for the return of old attractions.

Reader Lesli wrote, “Bring back Backlot Tour, Stunt Show, and Great Movie Ride…make the park make sense again!” This is a valid point, as Hollywood Studios has moved away from the Hollywood aspect over the last several years.

Reader Bill suggested the creation of “The Great Movie Ride 2.0”. The ride was ultimately replaced by Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in 2020.

We also saw requests for more rides.

Reader Ed wrote, “The park only has 8 rides. Double that. They don’t all need to be Tower of Terror, RRC [Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster], Rise of the Resistance level rides. [Put] Aliens Swirling Saucers type rides in the mix as well. Just more things to do.”

Finally, we saw that some would like MORE MUPPETS!

The new Monsters, Inc. Land is replacing Muppets Courtyard and all of its offerings,  but The Muppets are going over to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in a total retheme of the attraction that was once dedicated to the music of Aerosmith.

Still, who doesn’t love The Muppets? We’re always down for more appearances in the park!

  1. Backlot Tour and The Great Movie Ride need to come back to life. Being older/getting older there’s just not much in Hollywood Studios to keep us in the park all day.
