Sometimes, when you’re in the Disney World parks, you just need to take a break in some refreshing air conditioning and comfy seats.

Wandering the world can be tiresome with all the miles you put on walking around. Plus, the Florida heat can be terribly draining! Midway through the day, it might be time to head into a theater for a show (and we won’t judge if it turns into a little snooze). But on June 9th and 10th, you’ll have one less show to watch in Magic Kingdom.
The Hall of Presidents is an entertaining and educational show located in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. You can see all of the United States presidents together as you hear the tale of the nation’s history.

There’s a neat exhibit with memorabilia from the presidents, and the whole attraction is great for history buffs! It’s also a great place to sit, relax your legs, and get some air conditioning on a hot day in Disney World. However, on June 9th and 10th, Disney’s website is not showing any times for the show. That means it will likely be closed those two days.

There are many reasons that it could be closed for a brief period of time. Disney could be doing a small refurbishment or freshening up in the theater. It’s not uncommon for Disney World theaters to briefly close every now and then. And luckily, show times appear once again on June 11th!

With this closure, the closes shows to Liberty Square for those two days will be Mickey’s PhilharMagic in Fantasyland or the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland. Both of these are great options if you’re looking to slow down and enjoy a show!

If you’re not interested in a show, but hope to take a short break, there are several great ride options that generally don’t have long lines, are not as wild as the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness (looking at you Big Thunder Mountain Railroad), and are still fun! The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, Carousel of Progress (more of a show), Under the Sea — Journey of The Little Mermaid, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh are all great options!

In order to keep up with any changes to the rides and shows on your visit, be sure to check Genie on the Disney World app for temporary closures and wait times. You can also purchase Genie+, book Lightning Lanes, buy Individual Lightning Lanes, and join Virtual Queues right from the app.
