WARNING: The BIG Problem With Buying Disney World After Hours Tickets

In case you’re unaware, a fan-favorite Disney World event is RETURNING in just a couple of short months.

That’s right, baby. We’re talking about After Hours. These special-ticketed events allow guests to visit after hours (Who woulda thunk it?) and experience shorter wait times, lower crowds, special offerings, and even complimentary food and refreshments. Tickets for these events range from $149 to $175 per ticket depending on the park and date. After Hours Events for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be happening once more from January 10th to April 4th, 2024. The best part? Well, if you’re staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green, you can purchase tickets starting November 7th, 2023. (Psssst. That’s today!) If you’re hoping to snag tickets, we have a bit of a warning.

We called the hotline (407-W-Disney) at 7AM on November 7th to book our tickets for the Hollywood Studios After Hours Event, and were greeted with a response stating that the event tickets weren’t being offered yet.

So, we asked to speak to an agent. Unfortunately, the wait time to speak with a person for help was up to 90 minutes. Ugh! We then mentally prepared ourselves to wait an hour and a half, because we wanted those tickets!

We were pleasantly surprised to only wait 25 minutes before we got some help. However, this might not be the case for everyone. Our best advice is to prepare for the worst and expect to have a potentially long wait when trying to book your tickets.
