Are you familiar with this precious Disneyland tradition?

Rope dropping Disneyland Park is a great way to get on super popular rides like Rise of the Resistance and Space Mountain — very few people “walk briskly” over to the less popular dark rides. However, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Bayou Country does something so unique during rope drop that it’s worth skipping the E-ticket rides just to experience.
Based on the classic tales of Winnie the Pooh, this adorable attraction offers a neat reward for the first rider of the day.

Every morning, the first guests who arrive at the ride get to sign a special storybook — also known as the Pooh Book — enshrining them as the first riders of the day.
We’re talking the chance to become part of Disneyland history.

I have personally made way over to do this, and while there aren’t a ton of people rushing over, the diehard Disney fans are aware of this practice and certainly consider it an honor.

Over the past few years, this underground tradition has become more well-known thanks to viral social media posts.
Of course, there is competition to sign the book now — as I’ve discovered — so there’s always a chance you passed up on other rides to sign the book only to be the second or third person. Ultimately, though, it’s a tradition striving for at least once!
