Fans Are Calling Out 3 Glaring Problems That Need to Be Fixed ASAP in Disneyland

Disneyland may be “The Happiest Place on Earth”, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect.

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland

While there’s lots to love about the Disneyland Resort, over the years, the popular theme park resort has garnered a fair bit of criticism. We visit every week, noticing all the little (and big) changes, and we even take stock of what we think Disneyland should change. That’s why we asked YOU — the fans — what Disneyland needs to fix, and ya’ll had plenty of thoughts.

We asked our fans on Facebook, “What glaring problems need to be fixed in Disneyland?” and there were some common answers.

Disneyland’s security process came up A LOT. The resort still uses good ol’ fashioned metal detectors, and that can slow things down.

Disneyland Security

Reader Nicole wrote, “Put in the same security screening system they have at WDW. Checking every single bag by hand takes way too long.”

Reader Craig added, “The inconsistencies at security and the entry gates. Some security officers go through everything with a fine-tooth comb while others just glance at the contents. There should be lines at the gates for Magic Key holders and a more efficient way for pictures to be taken for first time entries, or there should be more cast members helping first-time parkgoers.”

Downtown Disney

Another “problem” that kept popping up was the current state of Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland

Cheers 2 Ears Podcast wrote, “All of Tomorrowland. They need to go with retro futuristic design theme which Fantastic Four might have been the set up.”

Reader Carol added that the land feels empty and reader Heather said what we’re all thinking: “Bring back the peoplemover.”

Although the WEDway PeopleMover has been a part of Disney lore for decades, the elevated track remains a Disneyland “staple” to this day.

Finally, another complaint we saw come up time and time again from folks was that they aren’t at Disneyland right now!
