Disney World Experiences Annual Pass Glitch on Website

UPDATE: This morning, the Pirate Pass and Sorcerer Pass appeared to be available on the Disney World website. However, both of these passes were quickly marked as “unavailable” again. It appears that this was a glitch on the Disney World website and we will update you with any additional news.

Last year, Disney World announced a new annual pass program.

Out with the old!

The program came with new pass tiers, higher prices, and some altered benefits, but just a few months after it premiered, Disney paused sales during the holiday season. For a while, the only pass that guests could purchase was the Pixie Dust (the cheapest option that’s only for Florida residents), and that seemed to be changing!

This morning, the Pirate Pass and the Sorcerer Pass were available to purchase again according to the Disney World website. These annual passes have been unavailable since November 2021.

…and the Sorcerer Pass looked to be available for Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club Members.

However, very quickly after we saw these passes on sale, the Sorcerer Pass was marked as “currently unavailable” on Disney World’s website. We were still signed in as a Florida resident.

The Pirate Pass also said “currently unavailable”. Since this seemed to be a Disney website glitch, this could be a sign that these annual passes could return soon. We’ll continue to update you on the status of annual pass sales.

Just a reminder, here are the pass tiers and their prices:

  • Disney Incredi-Pass is $1299 plus tax (still unavailable)
  • Disney Sorcerer Pass is $899 plus tax (only available for Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club members)
  • Disney Pirate Pass is $699 plus tax (only available for Florida Residents)
  • Disney Pixie Dust Pass is $399 plus tax (only available for Florida Residents)

Disneyland also recently paused sales on their new annual pass programMagic Key Passes. These new passes were also introduced last year and have even caused a $5 million lawsuit.
