While we get ready to kick off the 50th Anniversary celebrations in Disney World, we can’t WAIT for all the amazing entertainment in store!

However, in order to make ways for new shows, we have to bid adieu to our old favorites. As Happily Ever After exits the Magic Kingdom, we’ll also have to say goodbye to EPCOT Forever to make way for Harmonious instead!
Tonight, EPCOT Forever will have its final performance at 9PM on World Showcase Lagoon. If you would like to make last-minute plans to attend, then good news — as of publishing, Disney Park Pass reservations are still available for this evening for resort guests, regular ticket guests, and Annual Passholders.

The temporary show first premiered on October 1st, 2019 after Illuminations ended its run. EPCOT Forever was only meant to last until the arrival of Harmonious, which has its first performance tomorrow night, September 29th.

Even though EPCOT Forever has been around for nearly two years, it has had an unusual run. The fireworks spectacular ran normally for about five and a half months until the pandemic hit in March 2020, shutting down the parks. It didn’t come back until July 1st, 2021, when Happily Ever After reopened at Magic Kingdom as well. Since then, the performances have been a slightly altered version of the original, without the glowing kites that usually flew around the lagoon during the slower parts of the music.

So if you’re a big fan of the show, make sure to stop by tonight and watch it one last time. We’ll make sure to give you a full look at Harmonious when it premieres tomorrow night, so stay tuned to AllEars!

I saw the show in its pre-COVID form. Compared to Illuminations, it was a dud.
Epcot Forever seemed like a wake for a funeral. Lots of references to great attractions which no longer exist or have been altered so severely they’re not even enjoyable anymore.
IPCot is all we have now, and all you’ll ever get. The days of edutainment are over with Disney. Unless they can tie something to a movie and sell countless items based on it, forget it. Not happening.
