Thinking about bringing your furry friend to Disney World? Good news: It’s totally possible!

From pet-friendly accommodations to transportation and boarding options, here’s everything you need to know.
Flying with Your Pet
If you’re flying, research airlines that allow in-cabin travel for small pets or check pet cargo options for larger animals. Many U.S. airlines permit pets in carriers under the seat, while others, like Bark Air, offer premium, pet-friendly private jet experiences. Just make sure your pet meets health and vaccination requirements and that you’ve got the right paperwork.

Getting to Disney World with Uber Pet
Once you land in Orlando, Uber Pet is a convenient option. This ride service allows you to bring one small pet, such as a dog or cat. You’ll need to select “Uber Pet” from the vehicle options and expect a slightly higher fare.

Bringing a blanket or towel can help keep the car clean and avoid any additional cleaning fees. Remember, the driver has the final say on whether additional pets are allowed.
Pet-Friendly Disney World Resorts
Disney World offers four dog-friendly resort options:
These accommodations provide easy access to outdoor walkways and green spaces for pet relief. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a complimentary Pluto’s Welcome Kit, which includes essentials like a mat, bowls, and poop bags.

Disney allows up to two dogs per room. Your pup must be well-behaved, leashed in public areas, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Keep in mind that only designated areas of these resorts are pet-friendly to protect guests with allergies. Dogs are not allowed in theme parks, water parks, or common spaces like pools and restaurants. Service animals, however, are permitted in these areas.
Some of Disney’s Animal Policies:
Disney has strict guidelines when it comes to animals on property:
-
- Only service animals (dogs and miniature horses) are allowed in theme parks, water parks, and most public spaces.
- Emotional support and companion animals are not classified as service animals and are restricted to pet-friendly resort areas.
- Pets at designated resorts must be leashed or in a harness at all times.
- Service animals are not allowed in water features or on wet decks.

Best Friends Pet Hotel
If you want to spend the day at the parks without worrying about your pup, Best Friends Pet Hotel is the perfect solution.

Located on Disney property, this pet hotel offers everything from basic indoor boarding to luxurious VIP suites with flat-screen TVs and bedtime stories. You can even opt for grooming services and playtime add-ons.

Rates vary depending on the size and age of your pet, as well as the time of year. Reservations are recommended, especially during peak seasons. Whether your pet stays for the day or overnight, they’ll receive plenty of care and attention, and maybe even a “report card” detailing their behavior.
Our “Pro Tips” for an Overall Smoother Experience
