Epic Universe opens officially on May 22nd, but Team Member previews are going on RIGHT NOW, and we’re getting some inside scoop you need to know about!

We’ve been blown away by the queue for the new Harry Potter attraction, and we haven’t been to a land yet that we were disappointed or let down by. However, even though it’s only previews for Team Members and their families right now, there’s a line we KNOW that’s about to be long that you need to know about.
We’re expecting the attractions in Epic Universe to attract some pretty long lines, but on this preview day, which again, was only Team Members and their families, we got a glimpse into a more unexpected long line you’ll want to look out for.

While Monsters Unchained, the main ride in Dark Universe was closed for a bit during the day, we were very curious to see that the wait times for the rides in Super Nintendo World were longer than both Dark Universe AND Isle of Berk! Earlier in the day, both Mine-Cart Madness and Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge posted 35-minute wait times — the highest in the park at that point.
Perhaps this is because the IP of Nintendo is a little more well-known and is kid-friendly, not to mention that the land is an impeccable recreation of the world we know and love so much, but it’s something to keep in mind when you’re planning your visit.

However, the LONGEST wait we saw (which again, we couldn’t get photos of since photos are not allowed during these previews!) was the meet and greet for Hiccup and Toothless! Both times we walked by the queue, we noticed that it was pretty full, and a Team Member told us it was about a 30-40-minute wait.

This was only during Team Member previews, so we can only imagine how popular this meet and greet will be when the park is open to EVERYONE! Our recommendation? Be ready to wait a while for this meet and greet unless you’re rope dropping it. You should be able to find times in the Universal Orlando app and plan accordingly.

Want more? Universal released this incredible video of Astrid and Stormfly who you can also meet in Isle of Berk.
