Since Florida’s attractions have reopened to many people, some visitors are traveling to the state to visit theme parks and other places.

Although airports are requiring guests to wear masks along with other health and safety protocols (and there’s even PPE vending machines available), some states are suggesting that people don’t travel during this time.

The Ohio Department of Health is currently advising people not to travel to states with high COVID-19 positivity rates. One of the states included in the places with high positivity rates includes Florida at this time.

The Ohio Department of Health has stated that people who enter Ohio after traveling to states with positive testing rates of 15% or higher will be advised to self-quarantine for 14 days. Currently, Florida’s positivity rate sits at 19%.

Whether guests are traveling for leisure of business, the Ohio Department of Health finds it important for the safety of those who have traveled and others that quarantine is followed. However, the government also advises that people avoid traveling to some of these states with higher positivity rates. Along with Florida, places like South Carolina, Arizona, Alabama, and more states have travel advisory notices.
