The Orlando International Airport (known by many simply as MCO) welcomes over 40 million travelers in a typical 12-month period, and if you’ve ever trod those teal carpets, you know there are usually plenty of services available to weary travelers within the airport proper.
But the recent worldwide pandemic has resulted in substantial reductions in air travel (including a reported 50% reduction at MCO), and that meant many of MCO’s eateries closed or saw drastic reductions in their hours.
But with air travel set to increase as tourist destinations reopen throughout Florida — including Walt Disney World’s Parks, set to reopen beginning July 11 — voyagers may wonder what they’ll find in terms of food, beverage, and retail options. Thankfully, MCO doesn’t want to leave you hanging, and they’ve published a list of locations with operating hours for your dining and shopping pleasure.
The list includes standard fast food fare like McDonald’s, Starbucks, and Jersey Mike’s as well as stores including Hudson News, Orlando Market, and the Universal Studios Store. (Disney Stores worldwide are experiencing a phased reopening, and the airport’s Disney Store is not listed as open at this time.)
