Disney World is filled with rides for people of all ages and preferred thrill levels.

Personally, I love pretty much all rides — they provide all the thrills, but I also very much appreciate a slow-moving dark ride. I mean, Under The Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid is unironically my third favorite ride behind Expedition Everest, and my top favorite is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. If you’re heading to Disney World soon and trying to organize your must-do list, I totally understand that you may put some of the more intense or intriguing rides higher up on your list, but I’m here to tell you that THESE rides are criminally underrated and they shouldn’t be, so you may want to move them higher up on your list!
Country Bear Musical Jamboree
If you haven’t been to Disney World in the past few months, then you haven’t seen the NEW version of this iconic Magic Kingdom show! Country Bear Musical Jamboree is the NEW version of what used to be Country Bear Jamboree, which was very beloved by guests.

People were very concerned about this new version of the attraction and were afraid it would take away from the original feel of the show. However, we’re happy to report that we, and most other Disney World guests, absolutely LOVE this new version of the show!

This new version of the show still features all your favorite singing bears but with a new setlist full of Disney songs. So now, kids will be able to sing along with the bears rather than hear songs they don’t recognize, making it more fun for the whole family. It’s about a 16 minute show, and is a great way to take a break in the AC for a moment while being thoroughly entertained.

Carousel of Progress
Also in Magic Kingdom is the Carousel of Progress in Tomorrowland. I know this ride has been around since 1964, but I have to admit — it’s still pretty cool to see even now! This rotating theatre shows how technology advanced in a regular household setting during the turn of the century.

Yes, rotating! You stay seated the whole time, but the seating moves AROUND the main stage, which has four different sets. This also means there is no line pretty much any time you go to ride.

And, of course, I have to talk about the incredible AC in here. Even if you’re not necessarily interested in the show itself, keep this attraction in the back of your mind if you need a 20-ish minute nap in the cool AC during your Magic Kingdom day (and there is NOTHING wrong with needing one of those).

Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
Magic Kingdom is home to lots of these smaller attractions that are easy to walk right by as you’re on your way to something more exciting, and the Enchanted Tiki Room is also one you won’t want to miss!

This show is made up entirely of a chorus of mechanical birds that come down from the ceiling to serenade you. It was a marvel when it was created, and people still love to come visit the show for its catchy music (seriously, good luck trying to get it out of your head) and the nostalgia it emanates.

Now, I will warn you of one thing — if you’re sensitive to sounds like I am and the clacking of the birds’ mouths (since, you know, they’re older animatronics) is going to bother you, I do warn you AGAINST seeing this show! It really threw me off the first time I saw it (which just happened to be with Breedlove), but now I’m better prepared!

Vacation Fun
One of my personal favorite ways to relax at Disney World is to head over to Hollywood Studios and check out Vacation Fun! This is about a 10-minute short that follows Mickey as he gets ready to go on vacation.

This one is especially great for families with young kiddos who love the Mickey shorts you can find on Disney+. Just like the other shows we’ve talked about, this one has fantastic AC and is genuinely, in my opinion, a great addition to your day.

Hollywood Studios is a busy park full of thrilling rides, and sometimes, it can feel a little overwhelming. When you start to feel that way, just head over here and get ready for some laughs!
