“This Is a Magical Dish Made of Magic” – Quincy Reveals the BEST Booth at the 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival has finally begun, and the AllEars team is PUMPED.

Ready for Food and Wine! (Yes, those are knives on my shorts)

Sure, there’s tons of exclusive merchandise to check out. The Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt is super fun for families, and you’ll see some incredible bands at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, but the main draw is, of course, the FOOD! The AllEars team and I just took on the first day of the festival, and while all of the eats I personally tried were “magics,” and not tragics, there is ONE BOOTH that I need to tell you about because NO ONE should skip this spot.

One of the booths I got to try was the Mexico Booth and OH BOY. This booth IS the Best of the Fest, in my opinion, and every single food item here should be on the Best of the Fest list (and honestly, the margaritas should be on there, too). At this booth, you can order:

  • Tostada de Camarones for $7.75
  • Flauta du Barbacoa for $8
  • Pan de Elote for $6
  • Mango Sunrise Margarita for $13.25
  • Poblano Margarita for $13
Mexico Spread!

The Mexico booth is usually very good during the festival, but this was a true level-up, which we really didn’t know was possible. To start, the Tostada de Camarones was incredible with SUCH an explosion of flavor. With each bite you got different flavors, and it all blended together perfectly. It was as if shrimp tacos were made 10x better, which is extremely impressive, considering shrimp tacos are already amazing. Seriously, this is a magical dish made of magic.

The Flauta du Barbacoa I wasn’t expecting to like (I’m usually not a fan of these dishes), but it was so light and puffy and delicious. And the FILLING? Don’t even get me started. But the salsa is truly what pushed it over the edge into absolute amazingness for me — it had an incredible flavor and a slight heat to it. *chef’s kiss*

And now we come to what I was most skeptical about, which therefore made it even better when it was a huge hit for me — the Pan de Elote is a cornbread covered in chocolate sauce, and I was like, “This could go really bad,” but then I bit into it, and I WISH you guys could have seen my face! It is UNBELIEVABLE. It’s the most moist cornbread you’ve ever had in your life, almost like a tres leches, but it’s cornbread, and the way the chocolate and raspberry sauce had sat on top of it gave it this sweet yet tart fruity flavor — I have not stopped telling people about this dish for TWO. DAYS. I want it right now, actually, and I probably will make a beeline for it the next time I’m in the park. Honestly, it might be the best dessert I’ve ever had at the Food and Wine Festival, and the speed at which I scarfed this down may or may not have been embarrassing.

As for the margaritas, both of them are perfectly blended and remind us of the ones you can get at La Cava del Tequila. I personally preferred the Poblano Margarita just a little bit more than the Mango Sunrise Margarita just because of the slight heat to it. You can taste the tequila without it being overpowering or having that aftertaste, and that’s the same for the Mango Sunrise Margarita, which also didn’t have an overwhelming mango flavor.

Honestly, I loved this booth so much that I’m willing to debate anyone who wants to argue that another booth is more worthy of the Best of the Fest.

Be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney World news! If you’ll excuse me, I’m heading back to EPCOT to eat at this booth for lunch and dinner at least once a week for the next few months.
