The EPCOT Strategy That Could Save You Valuable Time in Disney World

We talk a lot about how best to maximize your time when you’re in Disney World.

From skipping the lines with Genie+ and deciding to avoid sit-down restaurants, there are a lot of ways you can make the most of your trip. But, when it comes to EPCOT, there’s one strategy that can save you some serious time — while also being seriously delicious.

EPCOT is home to some of our favorite restaurants in Disney World — but did you know booking a reservation at a table service restaurant can actually save you time in this park?! It’s true — and we’re going to tell you exactly how by using one of the most beloved spots as an example.

Oh, Garden Grill, how we love thee. Not only is this restaurant located in one of the coolest spots in EPCOT, but it also boasts a character meal featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale and some seriously stellar eats.

Okay, so what does this have to do with saving time when you’re in the parks — especially since sitting down at a table service meal usually isn’t known for being quick? Don’t worry — we can explain.

You see, friends, Garden Grill is open for breakfast. And, you can make a breakfast reservation before the park actually opens for the day. That means, if you snag the earliest possible reservation, you can get a jump on already being in the park by the time everyone else gets there — and you’ve already knocked out a character meal and had breakfast!

Of course, it’s important to remember that sit-down meals do take a good amount of time in the parks, so we typically recommend allowing anywhere from 90-120 minutes. But, then you’re free for the rest of the day to tackle anything else on your to-do list without having to fit a table-service meal into your day.

Garden Grill is consistently one of the best meals we eat in EPCOT, and the fact that you also get to experience a cool setting thanks to the rotating restaurant — and characters — can’t be beat.
