Does anyone really like standing in long lines in Disney World?
Sure, we find ways to entertain ourselves, or we use that time to check out all the hidden details in ride queues, or we just suck it up and try not to count down every single minute until we get to the front of the line. This is pretty acceptable for rides, but what if the longest line at Disney World is for something else?
No, we’re not talking about a line for a popcorn bucket or even a line for food. Nope, the longest line in Disney World right now is for the Mickey and Minnie Mouse Meet and Greet at Town Square Theater. Right now, the wait is 110 minutes!!!
As you can see, the Princess Tiana meet and greet at Princess Fairy Tale Hall is only 30 minutes. But let’s compare it to other wait times in Disney World. Mad Tea Party is a mere 5 minutes, while The Magic Carpets of Aladdin is 25 minutes, and The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh is 35 minutes.
One of the most popular attractions at Disney World, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, is only at 75 minutes.
So the meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie is currently the longest standby line in Magic Kingdom. This comes just after Minnie recently joined Mickey at the location. So the two of them, both in their 50th anniversary outfits, are more popular than every attraction in Magic Kingdom right now. Talk about an iconic couple!
Want to meet Mickey and Minnie without the long wait? Consider purchasing Disney Genie+ to access the meet and greet’s lightning lane. You’ll also get to use the Lightning Lanes at other attractions in Magic Kingdom, so it might be worth the extra money to save a lot of time!
There is a free version of Disney Genie that will help you prioritize when to visit certain attractions, so you can use that to guide your day, but there’s no guarantee that the line to meet Mickey and Minnie will get any shorter.
