Nearly everything we hear about Magic Kingdom’s new TRON-inspired roller coaster makes us more and more excited to finally ride it!
TRON Lightcycle Run is hitting major milestones in Magic Kingdom, and it’s already looking beautiful!. The new coaster is based on the high-speed Shanghai Disneyland attraction, and is closer and closer to making its American debut. It’s the 40th Anniversary of the first TRON movie coming out, and to celebrate, Disney shared some more details on the new ride!
We recently saw the ride’s glowing lights at night, and now we know what it’s gonna be like when we step inside. The ride will take place after the events of TRON: Legacy, and Sam Flynn will be opening gateways to a digital realm all around the world. He already opened one in Shanghai, and now, it’s Magic Kingdom’s turn!
Once you enter the queue, you’ll get digitized and enter the virtual world of the ride. When you’re inside the grid, you’ll join Team Blue and enter a high-speed competition against Team Orange. Now we can see why the ride lights up bright blue at night! The first team to race through 8 energy gates wins.
We can’t wait to learn more about this new ride, and to finally go on it. We’ll keep you posted on everything we find out about Magic Kingdom’s newest roller coaster.
