Over the past several months, various attractions, shows, restaurants, and hotels have reopened throughout Disney World. And other things are set to reopen soon including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Turtle Talk with Crush, and more.
While you still have to wait a while for some of those things to reopen, right now you can visit a much beloved show that has finally become available for fans to enjoy again — Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage!
Today, August 15th, the Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage show reopened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The show takes place in the Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard.
You can take a look at the showtimes when you arrive at the park, or online. There are some times in the late morning and throughout part of the afternoon. Again, keep in mind that showtimes can vary so be sure to check what they are on the date you’ll be visiting.
Let’s take a look at how this show is being offered and what has changed.
Arrival and Seating
When we arrived at the Theater of the Stars, guests were heading inside for the show!
Social distancing guidelines have been reduced in Disney World and more guests are being seated in the same space.
This is also true at the Beauty and the Beast show, where guests almost completely filled up the theater.
Masks
Note that even though the theater of the stars is located outdoors, masks are required. Â
Masks are required in many spaces around Disney World, regardless of vaccination status.

The Show!
After a little bit of waiting after we sat down, it was time for the show to begin!
We were thrilled to see Belle…
…Gaston…
…and the villagers singing some of those signature tunes from the film. We couldn’t help but dance along!

Things still took a mystical and magical turn when we got to see the Beast in his castle.

And the show continued with more of those classic moments featuring Mrs. Potts and Chip, Lumiere, Cogsworth, and all of the other characters from the enchanted castle.
We watched the drama unfold as Gaston and his mob came to attack the Beast!
And of course, it ended with the Beast and Belle living happily ever after! The crowd gave the show’s finale a standing ovation!
And that’s a look at the reopened Beauty and the Beast stage show! While other live entertainment offerings still haven’t returned to Disney World, we’re sure many fans will be excited to see this show once again.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates from Disney World and we’ll let you know what we find. Stay tuned for more Disney news.
