When you’re visiting Disney World, there’s a good chance that you’ll spot some construction going on that has closed down rides, shops, or hotels temporarily.
And that’s why we keep you up to date on all those closures here at AllEars! So today, we’re bringing you an update on everything that will be unavailable from July 19th to July 25th, 2021 for refurbishment.
Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad in Magic Kingdom has been closed for over two years now as construction at Disney’s new attraction, TRON: Lightcycle Run currently blocks some of the train tracks in Tomorrowland.

And, it doesn’t look like that will be ending anytime soon — the closure will continue into next week with no opening date announced by Disney just yet.
Check out the construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run here!
The Hall of Presidents
The Hall of Presidents has also been closed for a lengthy amount of time as Disney works to add President Joe Biden to the show.

This is something that is done each time that a new president is elected and Disney has not yet shared when the refurbishment is expected to be completed.

Main Street Confectionery
Over on Main Street, U.S.A., the Main Street Confectionery will be closed once again this week, as its major refurbishment continues.

Currently, the shop does not have a reopening date, but in the meantime, you can find many of the classic treats over at the Main Street Cinema.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
And, the fan-favorite attraction, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, will be closing for a very short refurbishment from July 20th to 22nd this week.

Disney hasn’t announced any changes coming to the ride, but we’ll keep an eye out for any updates once it reopens later this week.

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
There are also some closures impacting the Disney World hotels! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will finally reopen its refurbished Moana-themed rooms to all guests on July 19th, after closing late last year. But, the monorail station and main entrance will remain closed, with no update from Disney on when these final projects will be completed.

One resort refurbishment may be wrapping up, but construction will continue over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Disney is currently re-theming the rooms in the Main Tower to have an Incredibles-inspired look, which has caused the closure of many of the rooms. And, work will begin at The Wave…of American Flavors this week, causing it to close for a lengthy refurbishment (though you can still find the breakfast at California Grill).

Over at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, the port cochere will remain closed this week. If you’re staying at the hotel, you’ll be directed to curbside check-in at the Disney Vacation Club Preview Center in the meantime.

And, the den area located by the lobby at  Disney’s Old Key West Resort will also be closed this week for refurbishment.

Both of the refurbishments at Old Key West and Saratoga Springs are being completed in three phases, so check back and see what areas may be impacted during your visit.
