Disney’s Contemporary Resort is currently undergoing major renovations ahead of Walt Disney World’s big 50th anniversary.
The rooms have been redesigned with an Incredibles theme, the inside is covered with scrim, and we recently learned that The Wave… of American Flavors will soon be closed for refurbishment. But, you will still be able to get a meal from The Wave… just in a different location!
The Wave, located in the lobby of the Contemporary, will close starting July 16th for a “reimagining” so it can be ready for Disney’s 50th anniversary.
However, you will be able to enjoy The Wave’s breakfast menu at California Grill for a limited time during the closure!
California Grill is located at the top of the Contemporary and previously served brunch, but hasn’t since Disney reopened last July. So now, you can take in those awesome views during your morning meal again!
The Wave’s breakfast menu includes American classics like eggs Benedict, avocado toast, and sweet potato pancakes.
Reservations are open for the relocated meal, but you will still book them through The Wave’s reservation system!
We’re glad not to be losing a breakfast option at the Contemporary and can’t wait to eat our bacon with a view of Magic Kingdom! We’re not sure how long breakfast will be offered at California Grill, but we’ll keep you updated when we do, so stay tuned to AllEars for more.

Are you going to take advantage of this “new” dining location? Let us know in the comments!
Reservation already made. My wife and I enjoy new and different experiences. We are heading down on July 28th. Can’t wait!
