Greetings from Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We spent the entire day adventuring around the park, and we spotted some familiar faces along the way! So come along with us as we recap our fun-filled day!
We hate to start on a low note, but when we arrived at Hollywood Studios this morning, we noticed that Beverly Sunset Boutique was closed!
The store is listed as “Temporarily Unavailable” in the My Disney Experience app. Hopefully we’ll be able to shop ’til we drop again soon!
In the past few weeks, we’ve noticed wait times increase at Hollywood Studios, and today was no exception! The standby queue for Tower of Terror was extending into the queue area for Fantasmic!
Keep in mind that with those physical distancing measurements in place, the queues aren’t truly as long as they appear!
We’ve been waiting for the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration to reopen, and on our visit today we noticed a few safety measures being put in place for its eventual return.
For example, we spotted many social distancing markers and dots throughout the queue area.
Then, it was time to watch the best cavalcade in all of Disney World! We’d like to think that the Pixar Motorcade was already the best cavalcade added since the parks reopened, and today was one to remember! From the Incredibles posing to Sulley blowing us a kiss, we felt like they were parading just for us!
Not to mention Woody said to call him, and THE Buzz Lightyear said that he loved us!
We headed to PizzeRizzo for lunch! There, we came across another wonderful Cast Member who told us that Remy helps Rizzo make the food and they pay them both in cheese pizzas! Who knew?
We then ventured into Galaxy’s Edge, and oh…look who was down again! Rise of the Resistance has seemed to experience an extra bit of technical difficulties these days!
Remember that time the attraction was basically struck by lightning?
As we continued to explore Batuu, we ran into our good pals Rey and Chewbacca! They seemed to be in the middle of a very interesting conversation.

But hey, we still managed to strike a pose with them for a socially-distanced selfie!
The Stormtroopers were also out in full force, making sure there were no wandering Jedis or members of the Resistance to be found!
Then it was time for the main event…Minnie’s Halloween Dine at Hollywood and Vine! Today was the restaurant’s reopening day, and it’s back in fully spooky style!
When it comes to Halloween, Disney World has truly pulled out as many stops as they could given the new health and safety measures, so you can only imagine our delight when we learned that character dining was returning to Hollywood Studios!
Not only do you get to see favorites like Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto, but they are all dressed to the nines in some stellar Halloween costumes! Minnie, the hostess for the evening, was dressed as an adorable witch!

Mickey seems to love dressing as a vampire! One of his cavalcade costumes in Magic Kingdom is a vampire, and here at Hollywood and Vine he designed his costume a little differently!
But then it was time for the STAR of the evening (at least in our minds), Pluto! His collar was spook-i-fied with a cute bat name tag!

Now, we would like to think that our hearts belong to Buzz Lightyear (remember earlier when we said he said that he loved us?). But when we saw Sheriff Goofy, all bets were off.
This is a truly unique character dining experience in Disney World right now! With modified character dining being the flavor of the year, it’s fun to see a seasonal

And we even got an autograph card on the way out! With character meet and greets temporarily nixed from the parks, this is a great way to collect their autographs in the meantime!
Once we were done with dinner, our Boarding Group was called for Rise of the Resistance! What perfect timing!
Okay, so we know we said we loved Buzz…and we know we also said we loved Sheriff Goofy…but then there’s Poe Dameron.

Walking out of the transporter will never not amaze us!

The ride is still loading one party per vehicle.
To close out the evening, we took a spin on Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land.
Can we just say that Toy Story Land is so cool in the dark? We highly recommend a ride on Slinky Dog Dash once the sun goes down.

The entire area really has an entirely different vibe at night that we love.

Molly, I am coming down in March with my family. I want to be able to take photos of them like the ones I see of you. Just us and hardly anyone else in the park. Where do you sign up for that experience? I remember one time in Animal Kingdom and a cast member asked us to do a survey. After we completed it, we were given fast passes for the rest of our day. Wish THAT would happen again! Almost as good as winning the lottery. Well, almost.
