You’re spending too much money in Disney World, and we’re here to tell you how to FIX that! I’ve researched some of the best ways to save on your Disney trip, and I’m ready to share them with you.

We’ve been taking Disney trips for decades now, and we’ve become budgeting experts. We’ve got quite a few hacks to share for saving, and today, I’ve rounded them up with some visual examples!
The Hidden Cost of Park Snacks
Our first chart is all about park snacks! It may seem like a given to buy the expensive items in the parks, but if you place a grocery delivery through Amazon Fresh (they deliver to your hotel!), you could save significantly on several basic items like bottled drinks and breakfast sandwiches.

The markup on prepackaged snacks in the parks is particularly high, so it’s a good idea to order some groceries to your room if your family is prone to buying bottles of water at snack stands.
Emergency Purchases on Vacation
And speaking of unneccessary purchases, we’ve got to mention the emergency items we’ve often had to buy on a rough day in the parks. Maybe you forgot sun protection, or maybe you’re not ready for the rain…but you could go ahead and stock up on these things from Amazon in advance of your trip.

Trust us, spending $13 PER PONCHO on a stormy day really hurts, and those FuelRod prices seem to rise every time we turn around. Come prepared with some basics in your park bag to handle the daily struggles.
Saving by Visiting During the Off Season
For this next chart, we looked at holiday weekends and regular weekends within the same month to compare Saturday ticket prices at Magic Kingdom. And what we found was a little surprising. The prices don’t seem to vary too much within the same month, but if you’re buying several tickets, you could end up saving a decent amount.

Really the big difference is the season of the year that you visit. Looking at heading to the parks in September is MUCH cheaper than going in any of the other months in the chart.
Hotel Discounts That Really Work
Finally, we wanted to see how much you REALLY save with hotel discounts. We looked at rates for the evening of April 16th, 2026, when there’s a “save up to 25% on your Disney Resort hotel room” deal available. The difference is wild!

Before you book your Disney World trip, make sure you’re checking the Special Offers page to see what’s available. If not, you could be missing out on huge savings for your hotel.

See, if you save money by following these tips in Disney World, then you’ll have more to spend on fun things during your trip!
