These Walmart Sneakers Feel Dangerously Close To My Favorite HOKAS

I’ve been known to be somewhat of a guinea pig for our team when it comes to testing out and trying new products at Disney World to find out whether they’re worth your investment for your next trip, and I have to admit, I’m genuinely surprised by this latest find.

Did we find budget sneakers that won’t hurt your feet?

While you’re likely to find me most of the time sporting my signature flip flops, strutting around Disney World, on occasion, the Orlando weather has been known to be a bit unpredictable. When I absolutely have to have shoes, I need them to be comfy, and my editor accidentally found a pair for me to try that won’t break the bank!

The thought of spending an entire week of vacation at Disney World walking everywhere and standing around in lines might be enough to make you cringe. I know for me, I physically can pull my face into a look of disgust at the mere imagination of the discomfort I could be subjecting myself to each and every visit.

Cinderella Castle in Disney World

While I certainly have my “go-to” shoes for when I visit Disney World, I was recently challenged to try another brand and see if they could stand the test of a day at Disney World. The only way I would agree to this test was if my editor promised me this test would be life-changing, and y’all — no lies were detected.

New shoes!

Most recently, I’ve become fairly acquainted with my HOKA sneakers when I must wear shoes around Disney World, but I’m living proof there’s a cheaper version of the same comfort that won’t have you blowing your budget in one transaction.

OK, I’M LISTENING

My editor asked me to try out these Avia Women’s Athletic Jumbo Lite Runner Shoes. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Walmart running shoes, really?” REALLY!

Just as the name implies, they’re super lightweight to hold and won’t make your feet feel like you’re training to be a heavyweight champion with each step. They’re actually very comfy and just like my beloved HOKA shoes, they’ve even got a bouncy cushion in the heel for that extra support you didn’t know you needed until you NEED it.

So, I laced up and headed out for a day at the parks. To my surprise, they’re some of the BEST shoes I’ve ever put on my feet, and I’m eating my words with every step I take in them. If you’ve been on the fence about spending the big bucks for a comfy pair of HOKA sneakers, OR are just looking for a light pair of shoes that you can subject to instant abuse walking around Disney World for tens of thousands of steps each day, these are the newest pair I would stake my life on!

I’m even going back to grab a few pairs for my teenagers for when they need a spare pair of GREAT shoes!

ALRIGHT, I’M ALL IN TOO

Seriously, if you’re looking for one of the best, cheapest ways to keep your feet from screaming at you by the end of your first day of vacation at Disney World, these are the shoes to make sure you’re laced up in!
