We discovered a Google Maps hack that will make your next Disney World vacation so much easier!
Did you know you can track the Disney buses and find their schedules in Google Maps? Well, you can! This is a game-changer for Disney World vacations and now you don’t have to wonder when the next Disney bus will arrive.
Disney World has a great transportation network including buses, monorails, boats, Minnie Vans, and even a Skyliner. You can travel just about anywhere on Disney World property utilizing Disney transportation and it is complimentary!
We just found a hack that will make using Disney buses easier and we need to share it with you! We hate when you get to the bus terminal only to find out that the next bus isn’t for another 20 minutes. Now you can better plan your day and know when the next Disney bus will arrive.
To access the schedules, you will need the Google Maps app. Once you have opened the app, enter the locations of where you are starting and where you are going. Let’s say we want to go from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom. Enter those locations and then tap on the public transportation icon that looks like a train car.
At the bottom of the screen you will see a list of options, tap on the option with the bus icon. You will be brought to a detailed view of your journey from Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom.
To find out more information about the bus schedules, tap on the bus section of the directions. This will pull up a list of all the buses that are scheduled to depart soon.
You can even tap on one of the options to see when it is estimated to arrive at the destination.
What’s even better, is that you can schedule your day ahead of time. With Google Maps you can set what time you are leaving at or what time you want to arrive by to see what the bus schedules look like then. For example, let’s say we need to arrive at Magic Kingdom by 2PM. We can set the arrival time and see what the bus schedule will be.
We love this feature in Google Maps and we hope it will come in handy on your next Disney World vacation. Stay tuned to AllEars for more tips to make your Disney World vacation easier!

I’ve used the Google app for the buses, but I’ve found it’s not accurate, and you can get stranded after a certain time thinking there’s a bus coming. Specially after 10:30pm. You go by the Google app get to bus stop and the Disney Resort screen says there’s no bus. I have records of having to take an uber to get back to Disney Springs. I was so upset. Also also the ferry boats to Disney Springs and resort ferries (like Port Orleans Riverside) say a different time to get back to Disney Springs. Got left stranded.
