It’s a holiday week and that means crowds are on their way to Disney World!
The Fourth of July is taking over the parks with specialty treats, very limited-time fireworks shows, and decor. With the holiday being on a Thursday this year, many folks have Friday, July 5th off or can take a PTO day to have a four-day weekend (yippee!). Now, based on the Park Pass Reservation System calendar, it’s clear that it’s going to be a busy holiday week!
Although Park Pass reservations are no longer required for many visitors, Disney World Annual Passholders (except on Good-to-Go Days marked on the calendar) and people with date-based tickets must grab Park Passes.
Disney can use this system to control how many people are in the parks, and it can usually be an indication of the crowd levels. Unsurprisingly, we spotted a sold out date this week on the Park Pass calendar — Thursday, July 4th. This goes for people with date-based Theme Park Tickets…
…and those at Select Resort Hotels, AKA guests of Disney World hotels with date-based tickets.
Annual Passholders Park Passes for the Fourth of July have also filled up. They are sold out for Passholders with an Incredi Pass or Sorcerer Pass, while the Pirate Pass and Pixie Dust Pass were already blocked out.
EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are all still open when it comes to Park Pass reservations.
Want to visit Magic Kingdom on this day? There are some other things you can do!
If you’re mostly interested in the fireworks, “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” is also happening on the night of July 3rd.
Also, anyone with a Park Hopper ticket can scan into the park they made the Park Pass for and then hop to Magic Kingdom. The only catch is if Magic Kingdom hits capacity, which is pretty rare but can happen.
Keep in mind that Genie+ prices may be higher on this day because prices typically increase with demand for the service. Visiting Disney World after July 24th? Genie+ is getting a rebrand and some huge changes! Check it out below:
