While it may only be summer, Disney World is already making preparations for the holiday season!

We just got a HUGE announcement about Disney Jollywood Nights which is happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this winter.
Jollywood Nights is a special-event party to celebrate the holiday season. The event happens on select evenings in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and features special entertainment, themed food, rare character meet and greets, and more. This event first debuted last year and was met with some mixed feelings. However, Disney World requested feedback from attendees, so we are hoping they will incorporate the feedback into this year’s event!

With all of that being said, we officially have the dates for this year’s event! Jollywood Nights kicks off on November 9th and runs on select nights through December 21st from 7:30PM to 12:30AM.
Here is a full list of dates that you can attend Jollywood Nights:
- Nov. 9, 13, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
- Dec. 2, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21

In addition to the event dates, we also got information about when tickets will go on sale. Guests of select Disney Resorts hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting on July 2nd. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale July 10th.
Tickets range in price from $159 to $179 depending on the date — the same price range as last year. We expect to know the prices for specific dates when tickets become available.

Jollywood Nights is a separately ticketed event with limited capacity that occurs on select nights. The event features lots of themed entertainment to get you into the holiday spirit. Last year, the event featured lots of live entertainment offerings including a DJ, a Nightmare Before Christmas sing-along, Disney Holidays in Hollywood show, and performers throughout the park.

Additionally, you could watch the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks show, snack on a variety of themed food and drink, meet rare characters (like Phineas and Ferb!), shop exclusive merchandise, and even ride some Hollywood Studios attractions.

While it can be hard to compete with a holiday party with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom, Jollywood Nights did have its positives. We felt like Jollywood Nights had a more mature vibe and it was a fun, new experience. We got to meet some pretty awesome characters (Powerline Max, and Phineas and Ferb) and we really enjoyed the live entertainment, especially the Disney Holidays in Hollywood Show. Plus, we found there were a lot more savory food options to choose from.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tends to have more character meet and greets, plus the Magic Kingdom party also has holiday overlays on some attractions, a parade, and free snacks and drinks. However, both events are a fun evening and a great way to celebrate the holiday season!
