EVERYTHING You Need to Know About Jollywood Nights at Disney World

We’ve been waiting for what feels like FOREVER for this moment, but it’s finally here!

Holiday stars in Hollywood Studios!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios celebrated Jollywood Nights for the first time EVER on November 11th, and you bet we were first in line to experience the event ourselves. Come with us to check out all this new event has to offer!

Crowds

All after-hours events are limited in how many tickets are sold, so oftentimes you feel like you’re one of very few guests wandering the park at night! But the start of the night can be pretty wild as we were all ready to party the night away.

There were lots of people waiting to get in!

Check out all the people here!

Once we got into the park we were happy to see that the crowds were dispersed a bit. That is until we wandered over to get our wristband and lanyard where we were met by a VERY long line (the longest one of the night)!

Beware!

And by the middle of the night it was starting to feel a bit like there were too many people and not enough things to do. We’ll let you know if this changes as the night goes on!

Getting Started

When you first arrive at the event there are a few things we think are important to know.

First, you can use any mode of transportation to get to the party, but just know that the Disney Skyliner will be closing at 9:30PM. So you will need to find an alternate way back to your hotel if you got to the party via the Skyliner.

The Skyliner will close at 9:30PM

Next, don’t forget to pick up your event map! It’s full of all the locations of special entertainment, food, and beverages.

Last, when you get there, you will need to get a wristband and commemorative lanyard. It’s important to know that you will need to wear BOTH throughout the night.

Keep wearing your wristband AND lanyard throughout the night!

Entertainment

There is SO much to do at this holiday event. Yes, you can ride some of your favorite rides as many times as you’d like with little to no wait, but there’s more where that came from too. Right away, we got to meet Donald!

Over at Echo Lake, you can meet iconic characters like Powerline Max, Chip and Dale, and Phineas and Ferb! But be prepared for a bit of a wait to meet the Disney Channel stars.

What could be more of the glitz and glam of Hollywood than the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror? Disney debuted a new Twilight Soirée for Jollywood Nights!

And for the first time in 30 years, Disney introduced a NEW park-exclusive character! So be sure to stop by and say “hi” to Ollie!

Hey, Ollie!

Can we have Christmas without Jack Skellington? We don’t think so! There’s a Nightmare Before Christmas show going on at Jollywood Nights in the Hyperion Theater.

The Muppets Holiday Special show is a MUST SEE. Seriously, you need to see it. It was that good.

It’s Kermit and Miss Piggy!

See the fun below!

And it wouldn’t be a Hollywood party without a big BANG finale! Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam was a great way to end the night!

Rides

Disney also changed how you ride one of the most popular rides in Hollywood Studios. Rise of the Resistance will now ONLY have a virtual queue for Jollywood Nights! (Note: There will not be a virtual queue during regular park hours.

Food

There are also over 50 (!!!) exclusive treats to try at this event, and you know we were on a mission to try them all.

We first started by trying the returning Red Velvet Whoopie Pie which is $5.29!

Look at how delicious that looks! You can also get it during the day, so don’t worry if you don’t have a ticket to Jollywood Nights, you can still enjoy this festive treat.

And of course, we had to try the Christmas Gertie Cookie over at Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction!

Next up, we headed to the Trolly Car Cafe to try the Ornament Mousse!

If you’re looking for a delicious meal, stop over at Fairfax Fare for some tasty treats! You can grab a Holiday Turkey Popover, Just the Sides Popover, PB&J Doughnut, and Kermit’s Frozen Banana Bliss.

Next up, PizzeRizzo! We tried two exclusive offerings at this fun pizza joint on Grand Avenue.

The Hollywood Brown Derby is transformed into the Jazzy Holidays Club for the special event where you can find festive decor and jazz music serenading you while you eat. We tried the Oysters Rockefeller, Crispy Duck Drumettes, and the Pork Belly Bao.

For some holiday, Mexican eats and some live music, make your way over to ABC Commissary for the new Holiday Fiesta en la Calle!

Merchandise

We were a little disappointed in the Jollywood Nights merchandise. Only one item was available for the event.
