CLOSURE Announced for One of the Most Popular Hotel Pools in Disney World

If you think that visiting the theme parks is the only fun thing to do during your Disney World trip, you’d be WRONG! There is more fun to be had at Disney World beyond spending time in the parks.

Beach Club Resort

Disney World’s hotels can offer some seriously awesome activities and perks that you do NOT want to miss out on. One thing many people really enjoy is spending some time at the hotel pool! While there are tons of great pools at Disney World, there is one pool that is widely regarded to be the BEST pool on Disney World property. However, there’s a problem. That pool is CLOSING temporarily and you’ll want to be prepared.

Disney recently shared that Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts would be closing for refurbishment from January 2025 to May 2025.

2025 is still a LONG time away — you can’t even purchase park tickets or hotel rooms for 2025 yet (vacation packages are available for 2024 though!) — but this pool is so popular that its closure is something you’ll really want to prepare for in advance (especially since the closure will last several months).

Don’t worry, though. There are other pools at these resorts that you can enjoy, like the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove pools.

Those aren’t quite the same, however, as the grand Stormalong Bay. For those not familiar with it, Stormalong Bay is essentially a mini water park area that has 3 acres of fun. There’s a sand-bottomed pool, waterslide, lazy river, whirlpool spas, and more!

So its closure is something that could really impact people’s plans.
