The WORST Place To Go in Magic Kingdom After Dark

Magic Kingdom is super magical all day, but the moment the sun goes down and the lights come on, it can get even MORE magical.

We love seeing the way everything is lit up at night, but there’s one place in Magic Kingdom that is AWFUL to go to at night, and it’s one of the most popular choices. Here’s why you should AVOID this Magic Kingdom land at night.

Listen, we adore Fantasyland, okay, but Fantasyland at night? That’s a BIG NO from us.

But why would we say this? Some of the park’s most popular rides are in Fantasyland, especially Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. And don’t we tell you to ride that one at the last moment OR during fireworks so the line is shorter?

We do, yes, but do you SEE how dark that photo of the ride entrance is? Here’s our deal with Fantasyland — IT’S SO DARK! The areas near Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world” are better lit, but many other sections of this land are so dark you can’t see three feet in front of your face.

And that can lead very easily to bumping into other people, ECVs, strollers, and everything in between (and if one of those things runs over your foot? Game over).

However, we know you’ll likely be walking through this area of the park at some point during the night, so we recommend just being extra aware of your surroundings and up your spatial awareness. And don’t be afraid to walk a little slower around the land so your eyes can adjust a bit more.
