A NEW Overlay Is Coming to EPCOT's Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster For a Limited Time!

We’re gearing up for the holidays already!

What does that mean? Well, in honor of Halfway to the Holidays, Disney World has made some BIG announcements about the celebrations we can expect to find in the parks this year, including the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and other beloved holiday offerings. However, there’s one big holiday offering that’s going to be BRAND NEW!

Almost a month ago, EPCOT opened a new ride — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Part of the excitement of going on Cosmic Rewind is getting randomly matched with one of six songs from the soundtrack. But this holiday season, those songs are going to CHANGE!

Disney announced that for the holidays, the Guardians will be swapping their classic tunes for “a mash-up of seasonal jams.” Disney says that “guests will blast off to the tune of an awesome holiday single.” We can’t wait to listen!

Based on the wording, it’s unclear if this will be one specific medley of songs for all rides, or if there will be multiple songs like the ride has currently. We’ll be looking out for more details in the coming months.

If you’re interested in other ways to celebrate at Disney World, EPCOT will also be hosting the International Festival of the Holidays starting on November 25th. During that time, the beloved Candlelight Processional will also be coming back to the America Gardens Theatre.

And don’t forget about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! The classic holiday event is returning for the first time since 2019, and we’ll get the chance to see our favorite entertainment, enjoy some ride overlays, and eat our body weight in Christmas cookies. We’re very excited for all this year has to offer!
