Can you believe we’re almost to the holiday season?!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is finally returning to Magic Kingdom (and some dates have started to sell out!). But, another holiday event is coming back to Disney World this year too — so let’s check out everything that’s been confirmed to return to the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays!
Disney just announced that the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays will be returning to the popular park beginning on November 25th, 2022. This exciting holiday-themed festival brings delicious food and drinks, exclusive experiences, and of course — all the holiday entertainment anyone might ever want.
So, what do we know about this year’s fest?
Santa & Storytellers
Disney shared that Santa Claus and other Holiday Storytellers from around the world will be returning to the World Showcase to teach guests about holiday traditions from different cultures.
Here’s a look at the storytellers you’ll get to see:
- Las Posadas Celebration — Mexico Pavilion
- A Mischievous Magical Barn Santa — Norway Pavilion
- Chinese Lion Dancer — China Pavilion
- La Befana — Italy Pavilion
- Santa Claus — The Odyssey Pavilion
- Daruma Storyteller — Japan Pavilion
- Hanukkah Storyteller — Between Morocco and France Pavilions
- Pere Noel — France Pavilion
- Father Christmas — United Kingdom Pavilion
- Canadian Holiday Voyageurs — Canada Pavilion

Candlelight Processional
The beloved Candlelight Processional is returning as well. On select nights, guests can gather at the America Gardens Theatre to hear the Christmas story told by a celebrity guest accompanied by music and songs.
The Candlelight Processional celebrity narrators have been revealed for this year and they include some new and returning celebs, including Simu Liu, Whoopi Goldberg, Josh Gad, and others.

Holiday Overlay
And NEW to the Festival of the Holidays this year is a new attraction overlay! Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be playing “a mash-up of seasonal jams” on the ride.
Guests will blast off to holiday tunes.
Cookie Stroll
The Festival of the Holidays Cookie Stroll will be back, where guests can participate in a scavenger hunt that involves eating cookies — need we say more? You can also win a prize for completing the hunt!
The cookie stroll will be available between November 25th and December 30th, 2022. Cookies that are part of the stroll include Alfajores at Nochebuena Cocina, the Black and White Cookie at L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen, and a Gingerbread Cookie at Holiday Hearth Desserts.

Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt
In 2022, Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt is coming BACK! In this scavenger hunt, you’ll go on a quest throughout World Showcase to see the holiday traditions Olaf has gathered and lost.
You’ll purchase a map from participating locations (including Creations Shop, Port of Entry, and World Traveler), mark Olaf’s spots in EPCOT through the stickers, and then bring back your map (competed or not) to Creations Shop or World Traveler to get a prize! Redemption is valid through December 31st, 2022 and the price is $9.99.
More Entertainment
Looking for more entertainment? The Festival of the Holidays has got it with the return of JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season.
These performers will sing holiday songs, Gospel, and R&B to celebrate Christmas and Kwanzaa.
Food Booths
And of course, what would an EPCOT festival be without the festival booths?! Sample treats from around the globe at festive Holiday Kitchens.
Disney has revealed the FULL LIST of food booths coming to the Festival this year and it includes a NEW addition as well as returning favorites. 2022 will bring back American Holiday Table, The Donut Box, Holiday Sweets & Treats, Mele Kalikimaka, and Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen (among others). There will also be a NEW booth — Nochebuena Cocina!

Merchandise
Disney has also noted that you’ll be able to shop for holiday gifts, festive merchandise, and other items during the Festival of the Holidays, but no other details have been shared.
