You can use buses, boats, the Monorail, the Skyliner, or walking paths, but not all of these options are available at each park. This guide will show you all the options for Disney transportation to get between the parks. So if you’re planning on park hopping during your next Disney World trip, read on to find out how to get where you need to go!
We’ll break this guide down by park to see all the options you have for getting to each of the other Disney World parks.
One of the fastest ways to get from EPCOT to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is on the Disney Skyliner. This is the system that takes guests through the air in brightly colored gondolas.
You’ll head to the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT (between the France and UK pavilions in World Showcase) to find the Skyliner stop. Board the Skyliner and ride it past the Riviera stop to the Caribbean Beach stop.
Disembark at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and head to the Hollywood Studios line (which is located in the same station). You’ll be on your way to see the stars in no time!
Another option is to use a boat. The boat docks in EPCOT are also located at the International Gateway entrance, between France and UK in World Showcase.
You can board the Hollywood Studios boat, and the ride takes approximately 30 minutes since it stops a few times along the way.
The third option is to use a Disney bus. The bus stops in EPCOT are at the main entrance (the one by Spaceship Earth).
You’ll exit the park and turn left, where you’ll find several numbered pavilions. There’s a large board near the walkway with all the information you’ll need to find the correct bus.
The final option for getting between these parks is to use the walking paths. There’s a path that goes from EPCOT’s International Gateway to the front entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This walk will probably take about 30 – 40 minutes, so it might not be the best option if you’re traveling with small kids who could get tired. The distance (according to Google Maps) is about 1.25 miles.
The fastest option to get to Magic Kingdom from EPCOT is usually the Monorail.
This highway in the sky has a couple of lines, including one between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom and another between Magic Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom Resort Hotels. The EPCOT Monorail station is located just outside the front entrance to the park.
The Monorail ride from EPCOT takes about 15 minutes, and it will actually drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). From there, you can hop on the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom, which usually takes less than 10 minutes.
If you’d prefer, you can also take a Disney bus to Magic Kingdom from EPCOT.
Remember that the bus stop in EPCOT is located to the left of the main entrance if you’re exiting the park.
The only option to get to Disney’s Animal Kingdom from EPCOT on Disney transportation is to use a Disney bus.
Head out EPCOT’s main entrance and take a left to find the bus stops. You can refer to the large sign near the bus stops to find out which numbered stop you need.
Probably the quickest option for getting to EPCOT from Hollywood Studios is the Disney Skyliner.
The Hollywood Studios Skyliner station is located just outside the entrance, to the left (if you’re exiting the park). You can board a Skyliner gondola and ride it to the Caribbean Beach station, where you’ll disembark.
From there, find the EPCOT Skyliner route (in the same station) and hop on another gondola. You’ll sail past Disney’s Riviera Resort and be at EPCOT’s International Gateway in no time.
Another option is to use a boat. The boat docks in Hollywood Studios are located down by the water to the left if you’re exiting the park.
The boats will take you to EPCOT’s International Gateway on a ride that lasts about 30 minutes.
Another option is to use a Disney bus. To get to the bus stop in Hollywood Studios, you’ll exit the park and walk straight past the Skyliner station. The numbered bus stops are to the left just after that.
The final option for getting between these parks is to use the walking paths. There’s a path that goes from the front entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios to EPCOT’s International Gateway.
This walking path is about 1.25 miles and takes about 30 – 40 minutes to walk, depending on your speed.
The most direct route to Magic Kingdom from Hollywood Studios is on a Disney bus. Remember that the Hollywood Studios bus stops are located outside the main entrance, to the left (if you’re exiting).
If you don’t want to wait for a bus, you can hop on the Skyliner instead and travel to EPCOT by disembarking at the Caribbean Beach station and getting on the EPCOT Skyliner route.
From EPCOT, you can take the Monorail to the TTC and then take the Monorail Express route to Magic Kingdom.
Keep in mind that the Skyliner station in EPCOT is located at International Gateway, whereas the Monorail station is at the main entrance. So you’ll need to walk through the park in order to take this route.
It might take a little longer to go this way (depending on the bus schedules), but you’ll get to travel on two iconic forms of Disney transportation, so maybe it’s worth it!
The only option to get to Disney’s Animal Kingdom from Hollywood Studios on Disney transportation is to use a Disney bus.
Head out the main entrance and walk straight for a while, and you’ll see the bus stops on your left soon. Consult the board to see which numbered stop you need.
to Any Other Disney World Park
The only option for getting from Animal Kingdom to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, or Magic Kingdom is to use a Disney bus.
Animal Kingdom is a little further out from the rest of the parks, so it’s not connected to the others via the Monorail, Skyliner, or boats.
The bus stop in Animal Kingdom is located outside the main entrance, to the right (if you’re exiting the park).
From Magic Kingdom
You can use the Monorail to get to EPCOT from Magic Kingdom.
First, take the Monorail Express route back to the TTC, and from there you can board another Monorail to EPCOT. The EPCOT Monorail stop is just outside the park’s main entrance.
The ride to the TTC from Magic Kingdom takes less than 10 minutes usually, and the trip from the TTC to EPCOT takes about 15 minutes.
If you’d prefer, you can also take a Disney bus to EPCOT from Magic Kingdom.
Remember that the bus stop in Magic Kingdom is located to the left of the main entrance if you’re exiting the park.
Once you’re at EPCOT, you can head through the park and out the International Gateway entrance (located in World Showcase, between the UK and France pavilions) to find the Skyliner station.
Hop on a Skyliner gondola and travel to the Caribbean Beach station, where you’ll find another Skyliner route to Hollywood Studios.
Keep in mind that the Monorail station in EPCOT is located at the front entrance, whereas the Skyliner station is at International Gateway. So you’ll have to walk through that park if you want to take this route.
The only option for getting to Animal Kingdom from Magic Kingdom via Disney Transportation is on a Disney bus.
Head out the Magic Kingdom main entrance and to your left to find the Magic Kingdom bus stops. You’ll board a bus there, which will take you to the stops just outside Animal Kingdom’s main entrance.
Remember that park hopping in Disney World is still only available starting at 2PM. Disney buses between the parks are not available before park hopping begins each day.
If you have a car in Disney World (whether you drove down or rented a car), you can also drive between the parks. For Magic Kingdom, you’ll drive to the TTC and then take a bus, Monorail, or Ferryboat to the park itself. For the other three parks, you’ll park outside the entrance and then walk (or take a tram) to the front.
If you don’t have a car in Disney World and need to get somewhere fast, you can also use rideshare services like Uber and Lyft. The rideshare stops are usually out front of the parks’ main entrances. Prices for these services vary depending on the time of day, time of year, and availability.
