Welcome to EPCOT!

From EPCOT

EPCOT has some of the most diverse transportation options, including stops on the Monorail, Skyliner, Boats, and Buses.

One of the fastest ways to get from EPCOT to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is on the Disney Skyliner. This is the system that takes guests through the air in brightly colored gondolas.

Disney Skyliner

You’ll head to the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT (between the France and UK pavilions in World Showcase) to find the Skyliner stop. Board the Skyliner and ride it past the Riviera stop to the Caribbean Beach stop.

Caribbean Beach Skyliner Station

Disembark at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and head to the Hollywood Studios line (which is located in the same station). You’ll be on your way to see the stars in no time!

Another option is to use a boat. The boat docks in EPCOT are also located at the International Gateway entrance, between France and UK in World Showcase.

Boat in EPCOT

You can board the Hollywood Studios boat, and the ride takes approximately 30 minutes since it stops a few times along the way.

Take the boat between EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and the hotels!

The third option is to use a Disney bus. The bus stops in EPCOT are at the main entrance (the one by Spaceship Earth).

You’ll exit the park and turn left, where you’ll find several numbered pavilions. There’s a large board near the walkway with all the information you’ll need to find the correct bus.

The final option for getting between these parks is to use the walking paths. There’s a path that goes from EPCOT’s International Gateway to the front entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Walking to Hollywood Studios

This walk will probably take about 30 – 40 minutes, so it might not be the best option if you’re traveling with small kids who could get tired. The distance (according to Google Maps) is about 1.25 miles.

Of course, if you drove your car or a rental vehicle, you can always drive as well!

The fastest option to get to Magic Kingdom from EPCOT is usually the Monorail.

EPCOT Monorail

This highway in the sky has a couple of lines, including one between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom and another between Magic Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom Resort Hotels. The EPCOT Monorail station is located just outside the front entrance to the park.

The EPCOT Monorail Station

The Monorail ride from EPCOT takes about 15 minutes, and it will actually drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). From there, you can hop on the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom, which usually takes less than 10 minutes.

  1. Until I read this article, it never dawned on me that customers who never stay on property probably don’t widely know they are able to ride the buses between parks. I think I’m correct in stating that bus service is technically for resort guests only, but with 40+ visits under our belt, I can’t recall a single trip where we were asked for resort I.D. at boarding.

  2. Fantastic article. I asked a Disney castmember about transportation between the parks, and this individual was totally clueless and told me to go to a link. The link just stated they had transportation, very vague and not giving options (boat, skyliner, monorail, or bus). Thank you All Ears you got Disney beat in delivering needed information. You explained the promotion in the spring more clearly than Disney did on their site. Thanks!!! Tell Molly, I said “hi”.

  3. I’m pretty sure the walking path from DHS to Epcot is quicker than 30 minutes. I’ve made that walk multiple times. If you know to go through the BW pool area that will save some time.

    1. I agree with this. My wife and I are fast walkers and we can do it in probably 15 minutes (depending on the weather). With the kids and no stroller it will likely be closer to the 30 minutes.
