We have been waiting on the edge of our seats to find out just exactly when we’ll be able to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

The newest thrill ride to join EPCOT in Disney World officially has an opening date — May 27th, 2022 — and not only that, but we’ve got another sneak peek at what we can expect from the attraction, this time in the form of a new commercial!

Up until this point, not much was known about the actual ride experience for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

But, as part of the official opening date announcement from Disney, they also shared an exciting new commercial that gives us a better look at what the attraction will actually be like. Let’s check it out!

There’s a lot to unpack here, but it appears as though the Nova Corps outpost on Earth (which just so happens to be located in EPCOT) is in trouble, and it’s up to the Guardians to save the day.

We catch Rocket, Groot, and Peter Quill as they receive word that EPCOT is in trouble, so they jump into action — but not before catching a glimpse of EPCOT and Spaceship Earth disappear into the galaxy.
