April showers bring May flowers, right?!

We’re kicking off the month of April surrounded by flora at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival, but that’s not the only exciting event taking place during the month — let’s take a look at some important dates and events you might want to know about throughout April!
There are so many different events and exciting experiences happening all throughout Disney World, it can be hard to keep track of them all! We put together a list of some dates and events we think you might want to know about if you’re planning a Disney World trip in April (or maybe this will give you a reason to plan one)!

March 31st: EPCOT Egg-Stravaganza
Okay, technically this event didn’t start in April, but it extends throughout April so it still counts! Test your scavenger skills as you search for Disney-themed eggs all throughout EPCOT. You can purchase the map and stickers at select merchandise locations for $9.99 — and after finding them all, you can turn your map in for a prize!

April 6th: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closes at 5PM
Normally, this park has operating hours from 9AM to 9PM — but sometimes Disney parks close early for Cast Member or other events. If you’re planning a trip to Hollywood Studios on April 6th, just remember you’ll only have until 5PM in the park.

April 13th: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Extended Evening Hours
Extended evening hours are a perk offered exclusively to deluxe Disney Resort hotel guests, where they’re able to enjoy the park for a limited time with fewer people. On April 13th, extended evening hours at Hollywood Studios run from 9PM to 11PM!

Mid-April: Expedition Everest Reopens
Although Disney hasn’t shared an actual date for this event, the refurbishment of Everest was scheduled to be over during the middle of April — you can be sure we’ll keep an eye out and share the news once we’re all able to ride it once again.

April 18th to 24th: Earth Week in Animal Kingdom
Every year, the animal-centric park celebrates Earth Day (April 22nd) with a week-long lineup of special events and experiences throughout the park, like the Animation Experience at Conservation Station.

April 22nd: Starlight Safari Returns at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney’s only nighttime tour is returning! Guests who book this dark delve into safari-going will climb onto an open-sided vehicle with night vision goggles (!!!) where over 30 species of African wildlife await you.
April 30th to May 1st: Dapper Day
Put on your swankiest swag (and transatlantic accent) for this fabulous fashion event! A celebration of all things Disney and style, and a nod to the Dapper Dans, guests who participate in this event often go “all-out” and dress in vintage fashions from head to toe. On April 30th the event will be at EPCOT, while on May 1st you can head over to Hollywood Studios to participate, or just check out the fashion.

That’s a lot of events in April to look forward to! Don’t forget to stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney parks news and special experience information.
