CONFIRMED: Soarin' Across America at EPCOT Just Opened EARLY

EPCOT may not be getting a major update like Disney World’s other three theme parks right now (mostly because it already got a huge transformation), but it’s still getting a huge update in the way of a brand new version of the ride.

Over in The Land Pavilion, Disney has converted Soarin’ Around the World into Soarin’ Across America to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. That version of the ride wasn’t scheduled to open until May 26th, but as of May 22nd, it has soft-opened early.

We were checking the My Disney Experience app this morning and noticed that Soarin’ Across America was showing hours and wait times. And lo and behold, the ride had opened early! Now, this happens often as Disney will often soft-open a ride ahead of its official opening date, and that seems to be the case here.

However, we will say that if you have plans to check out this new version of the ride, you should always double-check it on the My Disney Experience app. But it looks like everyone gets to ride it a little early. However, we did notice that Lightning Lane does not seem to be an option for the ride and probably won’t be until its official May 26th opening date.

Soarin’ Across America is a new airborne adventure that takes you across the United States and features some of the country’s most iconic landmarks and landscapes, including the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, the New England coast, and more. The ride “honors the heart and spirit of the nation as it soars into its 250th birthday celebration.”

It’s the same Soarin’ ride that you knew, though, just with different scenery, a new flight, and new scents. We had a chance to ride it early, so you can see what it’s all about here.
