The holiday season has arrived in Disney World. The decorations are up, the merchandise has arrived, and the snacks are here.

The EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has also arrived, and with that comes a very special version of the iconic Living with the Land attraction: Glimmering Greenhouses. However, a special TOUR is also available of that ride — we just got a chance to check it out, so come with us to see the holiday version of Living with the Land in a completely new way.
Living with the Land can be found in The Land pavilion in EPCOT. The second part of the ride takes you through the EPCOT greenhouses, where much of the food you end up eating at Disney World is grown. You can also get a tour of the greenhouses throughout the year called Behind the Seeds.

However, Living with the Land and the greenhouses get a holiday overlay this time of year called Glimmering Greenhouses. The greenhouses get decorated with snowmen, pretty lights, festive decor, and more.

For the first time, you can now take a Behind the Seeds tour of Glimmering Greenhouses. This tour is available through December 30th and will take you behind the scenes of these beautifully decorated and festive greenhouses. The new tour is available at 6PM and 7PM, while the regular Behind the Seeds tour will be available during the day. We went on the new tour and we’re inviting you along with us!

The new tour offers a chance to see the greenhouses with their holiday decor and lighting at night.

Unlike the regular tour, the information you learn is more about holidays around the world, such as learning about how crops are used to “bring festive flavors to many of our holiday traditions.”

Don’t worry, though — you’ll still get to see the hydroponic greenhouses and sustainable growing techniques Disney employs.

While you can see a lot of these decorations on the Living with the Land ride, it’s really neat to see them up close on the tour. Plus, you can see even more and learn neat information about food and holiday traditions.

This is a very neat experience that we suggest grabbing reservations for while you can!

Reservations are available now and can be made through the My Disney Experience app and on the Disney World website. You will need a valid ticket to enter EPCOT to attend the tour. The tour costs $45 per person.
