PHOTOS: Disney World's Fantasmic! Looks One Step Closer to Reopening!

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Fantasmic! in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This popular nighttime spectacular is full of Disney magic — between the characters, music, special effects, and fireworks, it’s a pretty legendary show!

We miss ya, Mickey!

We know that Fantasmic! is returning sometime in 2022, but until then, we’ve been keeping our eyes and ears out for updates. Now, thanks to @bioreconstruct onTwitter, we can see just how much progress has been made!

Based on the photos, it looks like the water is finally back where it belongs! You can’t have a water show without water, after all!

Even the iconic Steamboat Willie boat looks ready for action! This update is making us super excited for Fantasmic to return — what about you?

During a recent D23 event, we got a few small hints about the reopening of Fantasmic! Besides an opening timeline, we found out that the show will return with a reimagined scene.

According to Disney, guests can also expect new characters, animation sequences, and new stunts and effects! We don’t know what exactly to expect, but we’re excited!
