PHOTOS & VIDEO: Did EPCOT Get the BEST 50th Anniversary Golden Character Statues?

Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is just a couple of weeks away! Starting on October 1st, the four theme parks will celebrate with new entertainment, dining experiences, and much more!

Another way the parks are commemorating this special eighteen-month long occasion is with 50th Anniversary Golden Character Statues! We’ve already spotted these beautiful statues around Magic Kingdom, and today we’re seeing them pop up around EPCOT!

Today is already a pretty big day for EPCOT with the opening of the new Creations Shop and the grand RE-opening of Club Cool! While we were checking them out, we kept our eyes peeled for the new golden statues.

First up of course is Figment! He’s practically EPCOT’s mascot, and has played a huge role in the history of Disney World!

His statue is super joyful and welcome to everyone who passes by!

Over in World Showcase, we spotted Olaf!

It looks like he’s skating along enjoying the sun (we love how so many of these statues show the characters in motion!).

If you look closely, you’ll also spot Bruni included in Olaf’s statue!

Not too far away are Miguel and Dante from Pixar’s Coco!

Miguel’s statue is beautiful and it depicts him playing his guitar!

Dante is sitting right beside him, enjoying the tunes!

Looking ahead to the future of Disney World, Rocket and Groot have their own statue as well!

With Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind hopefully opening up during Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, we’re sure the duo were glad to see they got their own golden statue!

Finally, we spotted Pua and Hei Hei!

They’ll also be represented in the parks soon with the opening of the Moana: Journey of Water attraction in Future World.
