NEW Update on Walt Disney Studios Coming to Disney World

Construction continues over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and there’s a pretty big addition over in the former Animation Courtyard, soon to be The Walt Disney Studios.

While the construction walls are still up, and will be for quite some time, this land is expected to open in time for Cool Kid Summer, which means that the majority of this project needs to work faster than the other construction site, which is the former Muppets Courtyard being turned into a Monsters, Inc. land. This addition means the area has taken one more step forward, and we’re totally here for it!

When we stepped into Hollywood Studios the other day, we noticed something new behind the walls — trees!

We can tell that they’re further into the land, not closer to the edge, which was part of how we realized it was new.

Thanks to @bioreconstruct on X (formerly known as Twitter), we have an even better look at these new additions. Yes, they’re in the center of the land, right in part of the new design.

It looks like four trees were placed in the new triangle-shaped area in the center of the land. While it’s possible more could be added, it looks like these four will fill in the area quite well, especially when they’re in their prime in spring and summer!

When we take a look back at the concept art of the land, we can see this triangle area, and it looks like this is another step in the right direction to get everything ready in a few months.
