Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Members get a variety of perks thanks to their membership each year.
2025 is a massive year for DVC Members as fan-favorite events have returned, a new lounge has opened, and there is a brand-new membership option that allows members to be even closer to the magic! If you are a current DVC Member, you will want to know about these four life-changing announcements. Who knows, maybe if you are not a DVC Member, these perks may convince you to join!
Disney Vacation Club is a timeshare program that allows members to buy points in their home resort. Depending on the point type/resort, Members can use their points to stay at different Disney hotels and even use their points to stay at non-Disney hotels through the World Collection.Â
Here are four things DVC Members need to know about their membership this year!
Membership Magic Beyond
Disney Vacation Club announced that a new add-on to their membership option would be available for certain members. Those who have at least 150 of their own Disney Vacation Club points can purchase Membership Magic Beyond part of Membership Extras for a yearly fee of $99.Â
The sale of this new option started in December 2024, with the official rollout starting mid-January 2025. This extra is valid until December 31st, 2025, for Members and their guests before needing to be renewed.Â
The additional fee includes specially priced five-day weekday Disney World theme park tickets with one water park visit. Members with this add-on can also purchase specially priced three-day weekday Disneyland theme park tickets that include Lightning Lane Multi Pass. In addition to the discounted tickets, they also receive a 30-day Memory Maker package at Disney World.
But that’s not all! Members with Membership Magic Beyond can meet Disney Characters daily from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium, the member lounge at EPCOT.
They also get priority access to Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium along with Disney Vacation Club Star View Station. Plus, this perk can be used at the NEW McKim’s Mile House at Magic Kingdom. This is a huge perk for one of the lounges that go on the waitlist due to capacity.Â
This add-on also includes more flexibility. Members can use their points to purchase a Disney World Sorcerer Pass for 75 points and 65 points for renewal. Members can also get one bonus One-Time-Use Point for each One-Time Use Point purchased. Finally, the $95 transaction fee is waived for those using points when booking the Disney Collection Resorts and experiences.
Access to a Brand-New Lounge
The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade closed to make way for a brand-new DVC Member Lounge, and it finally opened on March 18th, 2025. McKim’s Mile House is a new lounge where eligible members and their guests can relax, recharge, and even grab a soft drink!Â
Eligible Members can still access the EPCOT ImaginAtrium, the Disneyland Star View Station, and the Top of the World – A Villain’s Lair at Bay Lake Tower.
2025 Member Cruise
Each year, Disney Vacation Club hosts a Member Cruise where only DVC Members are aboard one of Disney Cruise Line’s ships! Last year’s Member Cruise was a seven-day cruise out of Europe aboard the Disney Dream. There was even a bonus cruise that took Members to both Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay aboard the Disney Magic.Â
Member Cruises are known to have special guests and gifts to celebrate Members! This year’s cruise is a five-night Western Caribbean Cruise aboard the Disney Dream during the first week of August 2025. There are still a limited number of staterooms available!
Moonlight Magic
Moonlight Magic is a massive Membership perk. It is like a Disney World After Hours Event, except it is free and even better! On select nights, members can reserve a spot once they have confirmed a resort reservation, but they can only attend one event a year.
During the event, Members and their guests can expect shorter than usual wait times, character meet and greets, entertainment, and complimentary food and treats! While some Moonlight Magic dates have already passed this year, the following dates are coming up:
- Typhoon Lagoon: May 20, 2025, June 9, 2025, and August 11, 2025
- EPCOT: April 30, 2025, and July 17, 2025
- Hollywood Studios: September 1, 2025
Being a Disney Vacation Club Member has its perks, so make sure to take advantage of these specialty offerings while you can!

Regarding Moonlight Magic, the limitation on attendance is not once per year, but once per season. The seasons for 2025 are Winter (Jan-Feb), Spring (April-Jun) and Summer (Jul-Sep). That would mean a total of 3 possible Moonlights this year, if one was lucky enough to get a confirmed registration for these limited-attendance events.
