Disney Vacation Club is a membership program for many of Disney’s Resort hotels around the world.
There are several resorts around Disney World that offer DVC villas that members can use their membership points to book. Becoming a member involves purchasing points for a specific resort, however, those points can be used at any DVC resort. Membership also comes with some perks such as discounts on merchandise and some dining locations. Plus there’s another exciting perk that Disney has just confirmed for 2025 AND added more dates for 2024!
Disney’s Moonlight Magic is a DVC member-exclusive after-hours event at select Disney parks. This is a complimentary event for DVC members, so it’s included in your membership. You just have to register for the event while tickets are available!
Members can enjoy shorter lines for rides, character greetings, entertainment, and complimentary treats. And now, Disney has just announced that Moonlight Magic is returning in 2025! You can visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney California Adventure, EPCOT, or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on select nights for the events if you are a DVC member or their guest.
The 2025 dates of the events for each park are as follows:
Animal Kingdom
- February 12th
Hollywood Studios
- January 26th
- September 1st
EPCOT
- April 30th
- July 17th
Typhoon Lagoon
- May 20th
- June 9th
- August 11th
Disney also ADDED more 2024 dates for Moonlight Magic at Animal Kingdom! Even if you’ve already attended a Moonlight Magic event this year, you may register for one additional date. The new 2024 dates for Animal Kingdom are as follows:
- October 24th
- November 21st
- December 10th
Early registration for these 2024 dates opens on September 19th with general registration opening on October 8th.
Members who have a hotel reservation at one of the qualifying resorts get access to early event registration. You may register for up to four additional guests or the number of guests on your hotel reservation. Kids younger than 3 do not need to be registered.
To register, you’ll visit the Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic website and select “RSVP Online.” You may register when your window opens depending on if you have a hotel reservation or not. More information for each park’s registration window dates will be available at a later date on the Moonlight Magic website.
When you get to the event you’ll need to check in. The member who was selected during the registration process will need to be present to check in the entire group. Everyone in your group must check in together.
These events are lots of fun for DVC members! It’s a great perk to owning a membership. If you have a chance, you may want to consider taking advantage of it since it is FREE.
