Construction continues to take place all over Disney World, and we’re keeping up with each and every project to make sure we keep you all informed!

Things can change on a dime, so we keep our eyes peeled. Big projects are underway in Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Meanwhile, in Animal Kingdom, new construction permits indicate more changes are on the horizon.
The following permits are for general construction, so while they don’t have tons of details, we do know the locations where construction will soon begin. The first is located over by The Boneyard, which will close permanently on September 2nd.

Disney also filed a new permit for the former TriceraTop Spin location, which has been demolished. However, it appears there’s no new name for the area yet.

The third permit is for Trilo-Bites, which is still open at this time. They serve Buffalo Chicken Chips, DOLE Whip, and churros at this snack stand — fingers crossed the menu is relocated when the new Tropical Americas land opens nearby!

The final permit surprised us a little, because it’s for the Wilderness Explorer stand right near Dino-Bite Snacks, which again, isn’t closed at this time. This is another area we don’t have an exact closure date for, but we have a feeling it could close soon.

So, what’s with all the construction? Well, a new Pueblo Esperanze, Tropical Americas-themed land is set to replace DinoLand U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom.

There will be Encanto attractions, a new Indiana Jones ride, dining, and more!

This still puzzles me. I have not met anyone anywhere who actually loves the Encanto movie or any of the post movie efforts associated with the characters. The movie was arguably a flop and is simply not very inspirational. Dedicating a section of a park to Encanto is like building a monument to a forgettable car like the Mustang II or the AMC Gremlin.
