I’d Bet My Next Paycheck That These 8 Disney World Ride Tips Will Come in Handy in 2025

Please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside of the vehicles…we’re going over some MAJOR Disney World ride tips!

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

It’s going to be a big year for Disney World rides! We’ll be saying “hello” to a new version of a classic attraction and “goodbye” to a few fan favorites, such as Muppet*Vision 3D and Dinosaur (eventually). With these changes in mind as well as years of cultivated experience regarding Disney World rides, we’ve come up with several ride tips that’ll help you have an amazing Disney World vacation in 2025!

We’ve put together eight tips that’ll take your Disney World days from good, to great — let’s dive in!

Rider Switch Will Make Everyone Happy

Disney World’s Rider Switch is a queue system that helps parties enjoy attractions — even if some members of the group don’t wish to or cannot ride.

Rider Switch

Rider Switch is a super popular option for families with children who do not meet height requirements on certain rides, especially, but Rider Switch can also be used in any situation where a guest of any age wishes not to ride but other members of the party want to.

TRON Rider Switch

Rider Switch essentially lets you have your cake and eat it too. While some members of the party ride, others can stay behind. Once they’re done, the party members switch it up and the second half gets to skip the main queue and get their turn. Everyone wins!

Stay at a Disney World Hotel to Experience Water Park Attractions FOR FREE

In 2025, Disney World began offering a hotel perk where guests staying at Disney World hotels get FREE ADMISSION to one of the two Disney World water parks on the day of your check-in.

Typhoon Lagoon

This perk is new this year and is a great way to maximize your vacation time.

Blizzard Beach

Guests can use this park at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, depending on which one is open at the time. You do not have to check into your hotel before using your water park ticket and can head straight to the water park to ride some rides and soak up the sun!

Respect Cast Member Instructions

This next tip isn’t exclusive to 2025, as it’s always been relevant: respecting Disney Cast Member instructions is always in style.

Remember, Cast Members give instructions to ensure all safety measures are being followed and that you have the most enjoyable experience possible.

Be sure to listen to Cast Members and follow their directions, as not doing so could result in you missing out on an attraction or worse…expulsion from the parks.

Ask for Row 9 on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

EPCOT’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a high-speed coaster and one of Disney World’s best rides EVER. If you want to make the most out of this ride experience, be sure to request seating in row 9!

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Oftentimes, folks request the first or last row on rides to get the best seat for all the action –but for this particular thrill attraction, row 9 is the row to be in.

**SPOILER ALERT** During the initial 180-degree turn and backward launch, the cars rotate, so the last car with rows 9 and 10, now becomes rows 1 and 2 and you can feel some serious g-forces as the ride begins.

Avoid Space Mountain If…

Now, we’re not telling you to skip Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain altogether, but we do have to deliver some warnings.

Space Mountain
Space Mountain is a thrilling roller coaster-like ride that, admittedly, can be kind of a rough and uncomfortable experience. Seriously, getting in and out of the rockets is a horrible (and sometimes embarrassing) experience.
Space Mountain
If you’re getting up there in age in 2025 or are susceptible to back/neck problems, Space Mountain might be a ride you’ll want to skip. Per Disney, the ride warns: “For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride.”

Find a Suitable Big Thunder Mountain Replacement

Disney recently closed Magic Kingdom’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for a lengthy refurbishment that will take AT LEAST one year to complete.

If Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is one of your favorites, you’ll need to find a suitable replacement in 2025.

Similar family-friendly coasters like Big Thunder Mountain include Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom and Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’re looking for more intensity, check out Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Hollywoods Studios before it closes to retheme from Aerosmith to The Muppets!

Ride DINOSAUR 1 Million Times

Alas, 2025 is the FINAL year you’ll be able to ride DINOSAUR before it makes way for a NEW Indiana Jones ride and the Tropical Americas expansion at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

DINOSAUR

An official closing date has not been announced, but Disney promised the ride would still be available at least through 2025, so get in as many rides as possible this year!

Similarly, Muppet*Vision 3D is closing for good on June 7th to make way for a brand-new Monsters, Inc. land, so visit the Muppets one last time before they move over to their new home aboard Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster!

Visit EPCOT in the Late Summer or After

If Test Track is one of your favorite rides, visit EPCOT in the late summer or later. Here’s why…

Closed for refurbishment until late summer, Test Track is undergoing a massive retheme that will see the attraction celebrate “today’s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.”

The “new” ride will have a queue that will feature six distinct exhibits that honor vehicle history and innovative creators. It will also feature new show scenes that highlight technological advances and “onboard technology, customization, and personalization.”

Riders will also get to enjoy a scenic journey that celebrates “the joys of taking in the world around us and spending time with family and friends.”

A re-imaged version of Test Track attraction will open at EPCOT in 2025.
