A NEW Disney World Hotel Perk Starts Today!

We love staying at a Disney World hotel!

Disney’s Swan Resort

There are so many different perks to staying at a Disney hotel like free transportation, detailed themeing, and early theme park entry. Starting today, there is a new perk for hotel guests!

Are you staying at a Disney resort any time soon? You’re going to want to know this! Starting today, January 1st, 2025, anyone staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel now gets free water park entry on the day of your arrival!

Typhoon Lagoon

So what does that mean exactly? The day you check in to your Disney World hotel, you don’t have to wait until 3PM to get into your room or spend extra money on theme park tickets. You can head straight to the water park!

Typhoon Lagoon Lazy River

This perk is brand new this year, and we think it will help people traveling to the theme parks not feel like a full day of their vacation is being wasted on travel. Guests can use this park at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, depending on which one is open at the time. You do not have to check into your hotel before using your water park ticket. You can head straight to the water park!

Disney’s Blizzard Beach

Currently, Disney’s Blizzard Beach is the water park that is open on property. In the past, both water parks used to be open at the same time, but that isn’t something we’ve seen in several years.

Blizzard Beach

In 2024, Typhoon Lagoon reopened in March, and, at the time of writing, Blizzard Beach’s open hours end on March 7th, 2025, so we can expect to see a similar pattern in 2025.

This new perk will be a great way for guests to utilize their time at Disney World especially if you have an early flight in and your room isn’t quite ready yet. Don’t forget to make your swimsuits easily accessible!

Here’s what it looks like in the My Disney Experience app. The perk will be automatically loaded into your account, so when you scan into the water park, the system should automatically recognize your reservation. If you navigate to the “Future Plans” section of the app (where your hotel reservation is located), you should see a blue box that says, “Included with your stay.” This proves the water park perk applies to your vacation!

Over in the “Tickets and Passes” section of the app, there should be further confirmation that the perk is live and ready to be scanned. We spotted a “Resort Guest Water Park Arrival Day Benefit” ticket in the My Disney Experience app. As you can see, the ticket is ONLY valid on January 1st, 2025 (our hotel check-in day).

Many Disney hotel perks have stayed quietly missing (or were removed completely) over the past few years, so it’s nice to see one perk being added back! We promise we’ll never forget you Magical Express. Don’t forget to keep following AllEars.Net for all of your Disney hotel news and updates.

  1. Sadly, we won’t be able to use the perk coming from CA. Unless we take a red eye, we get into the area way too late for this perk. It would be nice if they offered next day for those of us arriving after they are closed. We have done the red eye, and we get there way too early, can’t check in, and we are exhausted for several days

  2. Is Disney out of their minds? Travel day can be stressful; remembering all the big and small details of the vacation that awaits. Upon arrival, our family likes to get food, check into room and unpack. Perhaps a park visit will follow. Where does a water park day fit into this plan? Nowhere. Swimsuits at the ready? Dripping wet hair and family? Kids that never want to leave the water park? No one wants this upon arrival. Let’s stay dry and organized the first few hours of vacation . I’m sure there will be some families who might send good old dad and the kids to the water park while mom organizes the room. Or families that see a free day at a water park a money saving opportunity. However, our family will remain dry and sand free . A voucher for a free water park day any time you choose would be great. Rushing off an airplane to a water slide doesn’t make sense
