We always warn you about visiting Disney World over holiday weekends.

This past weekend was President’s Day weekend, and after the rain finally abated, we started seeing SERIOUS crowds in Disney World. You might think that after Monday, though, the crowds would have calmed down some. Well, we’ve got some bad news: the crowds are still around and Disney World seems busier than ever!
You know it’s a busy day in Disney World when Genie+ sells out, and well, today, Genie+ for Magic Kingdom and Multi-Park is COMPLETELY sold out as of this morning.

Ouch. Not only that, but every single ride that offers Individual Lightning Lane is sold out, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom, TRON / Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom, Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. Note that you can still try to get into the virtual queue again at 1PM for both TRON / Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This is currently the only way to ride those two attractions.

Okay, let’s look at the actual crowds. We started the morning at the Transportation and Ticket Center heading to Magic Kingdom, and let’s just say that there were a lot of people in the parking lot alone waiting on the trams.

The crowds ARE HERE.

Let’s also take a look at ride wait times. Tomorrowland Speedway currently has the same wait time as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (45 minutes), which is pretty scary in and of itself. Barnstormer and Dumbo, though, already have wait times of 50 minutes.

This morning, you’ll wait an hour for Pirates of the Caribbean and even longer for many other rides in Magic Kingdom.

Peter Pan’s Flight is currently 80 minutes, while Jungle Cruise is 85 minutes. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is 130 minutes.

In EPCOT, Soarin’ Over California is currently at an hour wait, while Frozen Ever After is at 85 minutes, and Test Track is at 95 minutes.

Slinky Dog Dash and Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios both have waits of TWO HOURS.

Animal Kingdom isn’t looking much better. You’ll wait 80 minutes for Na’vi River Journey, 85 minutes for Kilimanjaro Safaris, and a whopping 155 minutes for Flight of Passage.

So if you are visiting Disney World today, you’ll want to bring your patience. Remember, you’re on vacation and it’s supposed to be fun, so if the crowds get to be too much, it’s okay to leave the parks and enjoy some downtime at your hotel (you’re paying for that, too, after all). If you’re still wanting to ride attractions, just keep an eye on those wait times and if you see them going down, take that opportunity to jump in line.
Even on a slow day, you can’t do EVERYTHING in Disney World, so lower your expectations, have fun, ride those less popular rides, and take a break when you need to.

Another pro tip: if you’re planning on using Mobile Order at Disney World counter service restaurants today, order early and schedule your pick-up time for when you want to eat.
