Disney World Files Permits for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and More

Planning a trip to Disney World ain’t as easy as it used to be.

And it’s even more difficult when things are changing so often you can hardly keep up. Updated hotels, new restaurants, refurbishments, and more can make planning your next visit more stressful than it needs to be — but it doesn’t have to be that way!

We’re taking a look at some recently filed permits that could clue us into what’s in store around Disney World.

Over in Animal Kingdom, we found a new permit that points to some work starting in DinoLand, USA soon! The description is listed as “general construction,” so we’re not totally sure what it might be for just yet. We do know that Disney has announced DinoLand will be replaced, but we doubt this has anything to do with that.

Mickey’s Philharmagic is slated to get a bit of work done — at least according to this permit we spotted. The address appears to match up with this attraction, and the permit was filed to “provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction.” No word on what this might be yet, but we’ll keep you updated.

A magical and musical experience!

It’s no secret that some Disney World hotels are being updated right now, but a few more projects could be starting soon. We found a permit for work at the Beach Club Dunes Cove Pool, along with more construction at Caribbean Beach Resort.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort has two new permits from what we found — one is for general construction at the meeting facility, and another is to provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction at the main Contemporary building. It doesn’t seem like either of these projects will impact your stay, but we’ll let you know if that changes.
