When it comes to change, Disney fans can be… conflicted. Many will often loudly call for changes and updates, but also be upset at changes they don’t agree with, whether it’s a retheme or the removal of an attraction viewed by many as classic.

With that in mind, we recently took to our Facebook page to ask readers, “What’s the one Disney World change so far in 2026 that’s left you feeling the most disappointed?” As you can probably imagine, we received a litany of… passionate responses.
Let’s begin with DinoLand, as several readers lamented the permanent closure of the opening day Animal Kingdom land and its headline E-Ticket attraction, Dinosaur, both of which shuttered for good in February to make way for the upcoming Pueblo Esperanza land. Reader Dari shared a heartwrenching post about the bond she and her late brother shared regarding the attraction.

Dinosaur wasn’t the only permanent closure readers lamented, with some even bringing up closures from 2025, including Muppet*Vision 3D, the Rivers of America, and the original Aerosmith version of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, which have closed to make way for Monsters, Inc. land, Piston Peak, and the Muppet Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, respectively.

Reader Christopher spoke about a different issue with the additions, writing, “Ticket prices vs the amount of closures affecting each park.”

Some readers lamented smaller-scale disappearances, like reader Samuel, who’s missing a treat. “Pluto Peanut Butter Waffle Sundae was taken off the menu at Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs,” they lamented, continuing, “I would order it with Vanilla Ice Cream, and it was so so good!”
Not every disappointment was about something that disappeared, however. Some took issue with announcements, like Peter, who was not a fan of the 2026 edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. They wrote, “The announcement of 2026 MNSSHP dates with not one real addition added or anything new. Feels like they have rinse and repeated this extra ticket event since they brought it back after Covid!”

Meanwhile, reader Arlene took issue with the quality of an addition that may be coming to Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge after it debuted at Disneyland. They wrote, “The addition of Luke, Hans Solo, and Leia to Galaxy Edge. They don’t look like them!”

These are just some of the Disney World changes that have irritated Walt Disney World fans this year. If you’re interested in sharing your thoughts on this, or any other Disney or travel-related topic, follow us on the AllEars Facebook to join in on the next conversation!
