6 Things Disney Adults Wish You’d Stop Doing When You’re on the Bus

Sit down and take it breath because we need to have a talk about guest behavior on the Disney World buses.

Disney Bus

The Disney buses are an integral part of Disney World transportation. While other means of transportation have their own set of limitations, the buses can basically take you anywhere you need to go at the Disney World Resort. This popular mode of transportation draws crowds, and sometimes folks riding the bus don’t put on their best behavior.

Planning a Disney World trip in 2026 can feel like a marathon with so much information to sort through. The AllEars team made an easy planning series that sends you an email with the essential information you need to know. This will allow you to read it on your own time and save it for later too! Not Being Considerate

While our this pet peeve doesn’t necessarily go against the rules, it does show a lack of respect. If seats are unavailable and you’re sitting but see someone standing who could use a seat, such as someone pregnant, someone holding a child, or struggling to stand, etc., please be kind and offer yours.

Of course, if you yourself require a seat, don’t take this note personally. But if you are able to stand, please be considerate. Kindness can go a long way, and your small sacrifice could make a big difference.

Also, be considerate by not leaving behind trash or letting your bags take up a seat. It’s good to be aware that you are sharing the bus with others.

Taking Off Your Shoes

First of all…gross. Second of all…GROSS! While we understand that after a looooong day at the parks, you want to give your feet a breather — HOWEVER, you’re in a public space, and taking your shoes off and possibly emitting a foul smell in a tight enclosure like a bus can be super rude. Always remember that other people exist, and YOU wouldn’t want to be smelling someone else’s stinky feet.

Accessible Seating

Being Drunk and Loud

Disney World is meant to cater to children and families, and while tons of places at the Resort serve alcohol, it is your duty to drink responsibly. Yes, we’ve seen drunk and disorderly conduct on bus rides, and this kind of behavior can upset other guests and force drivers to make unexpected stops. Please know your limits before you engage in drinking, and always remain respectful around other guests.

Making Small Talk

This note from Disney Adults may put some people off, especially if you’re naturally outgoing. However, a fair number of Disney Adults prefer to keep to themselves, and talking with strangers without real prompt can be uncomfortable. If you crave small talk, let it come to you. Otherwise, please respect people’s privacy and possible desire to be left alone.

Being Loud

Whether you’re talking on the phone at a loud level, scrolling through TikTok with your volume on full blast, or just chatting it up with someone on the bus, no one wants to hear someone being loud after a long park day. It can be pretty annoying to have to listen to something else when you’re trying to relax — or trying to sleep!

Complaining

Finally, no one wants to hear you complain on the bus either. Whether you’re complaining about the wait times, how expensive that character meal was, or the “rude” Cast Member who didn’t let you in to the Lightning Lane line for free — it will damper everyone’s mood. Save your venting for the room or better yet, don’t say it at all.
