We get it — things happen at Disney World. Everything can’t be perfectly magical 100% of the time.

Rides sometimes don’t work properly, showtimes often change, and rides close for refurbishment. Today, though, we’ve seen several shows having cancelations and problems in one Disney World park, including a popular cavalcade!
This morning at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we stopped by to check out the Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, but the 11AM performance was canceled. A Cast Member that we spoke with shared that more shows may be canceled, though no additional announcements have been made yet.

But that’s not the only show at the park that’s experiencing issues. The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular stopped mid-show due to a technical problem during one of its morning performances. The rest of the show was canceled.

We spoke with a Cast Member who explained that the show is only able to do the first scene because the Temple walls weren’t moving. We stopped by for another showing and only the first scene was being done, making the show much shorter. Although Cast Members are trying to fix the problem while loading things up for the next show, additional performances could be impacted if the issues are not resolved.
Not quite the ending we’re used to ?

And, that’s STILL not all. The Pixar Pals Cavalcade was also postponed this morning, but did eventually happen — just a little delayed.

So what should you do if you’ve made plans for something at Disney World and it’s either down or canceled? First, be sure to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app for when that show or ride will reopen. If you catch it right when it reopens, you might not have to wait in much of a line!
And, it’s always good to have a backup plan — go check out something you might’ve missed otherwise (too many guests skip on some great attractions like Walt Disney Presents). Go meet some characters or grab a meal or snack somewhere. You could even spend some time hunting down Hidden Mickeys!
As always, we’ll let you know about these issues as they occur, so stay tuned to AllEars for more.
